I'm not even nearly as anti-LLM as most other leftists but part of approaching new technology is "hey let's think real critically about the application and scope of this so we can use it in ways that are worth it and don't cause mass scale societal damage" but the fact that it's being injected into fucking EVERYTHING makes any stance more cautious than "USE LLMS FOR EVERYTHING NOW AND FOREVER" so much more anti than the status quo that I don't even fucking want to add nuance

Like most of the problems people have with LLMs are the natural conclusion of decades of tech companies gaining monopolies, environmental regulations struggling to keep up with new technologies, and a growing semi-privatized surveillance state, as opposed to issues with LLMs themselves. There's a theoretical reality where LLMs are implemented in useful, responsible, and sustainable ways but that reality is so far removed from our current one that none of those points actually matters

I find it funny that two very popular nonbinary characters (Dante from Limbus Company and Kris Dreemurr) are often misgendered with the excuse of “they’re self inserts” because you couldn’t have picked any worse characters to use that excuse on. My self inserts: the character who constantly complains about their authority and opinions being disregarded and the character who is actively fighting me throughout the game

people always joke about don quixote being the defacto nerd whenever they talk about pop cultural worldbuilding in the city and i dont necessarily agree, she seems like a firm fixers and related girlie to me. that meaning i dont think shed be the idol girl fan of the group. i think thered be an intervallo where yi sang passively becomes a fan of an up and coming group bc he admires their lyricism and perceived sense of cameraderie but when they play in the area they're passing through one of the members distorts before the concert and when they go through it and learn how overworked and how much they started to hate each other he gets sad. hong lu does something funny somewhere in here. eventually he connects it to his own experiences of losing his love for his creations and the infighting between people he cared for and is the one with the big moral of the episode speech near the end while hes holding a cute little light stick. and then hed get the banner id of the event where hes an overworked lead singer kind of dissociating his way through stardom trying to convince himself its still worth it but not having the self actualization to try and do something. and buddy? its poise bleed again
