Donations have been slow for the last two months, leaving Thomaserena to try and cover the expenses out of his own pocket. He and his family are trying to rebuild their own lives after evacuating Sudan. It is not sustainable for him to keep shouldering this financial responsibility.

We need to come together to donate what we can to help reach the goals for this month.

The chuffed fundraiser for the community kitchen needs to reach 18k. They are still trying to fix the broken water line and are having to pay for water tankers in the mean time.

This morning I was sitting outside the hospital waiting for my mother’s test results when I saw a sick cat on the road. I picked it up and brought it food because I couldn’t leave it suffering alone.

But what I cannot understand is how many people see my pleas for my mother… They know her condition is critical. They know she could die without treatment… yet they ignore us.

The truth is, only those who live pain truly understand it.
