He’s onto you, Canti. He’ll play along for now, though. “In that case, your friend should invest in a lockbox–some models have a built-in alarm, so your friend will know if anyone is trying to access its contents!”

The heavy emphasis might have been unnecessary, but the MRVN can’t help but feel amused over the other’s misfortune. He tilts his head to one side, just slightly, feigning innocence.

“It is good to see another robot, by the way! There are not many of us here.”

[I- I have not thought of that! Thank you that would be the most reliable solution for this situation.]

The obvious sarcasm flew right over Canti’s head, in some ways it was kinda sad. Canti paused at the mention of the lack of robots in the city, last time he was here there where a few automatons but they made up a minority of the population.

He gave it a thought, thinking on his own home life. If his little brother had any magazines like that he wouldn’t know, because—

Ding! 

“You tried hidin’ ‘em inside borin’ soundin’ books? My little brother Rufus always had all these books with long names in all sorts of languages, jus’ tryin’ to read the titles made my head hurt so I never even tried to crack ‘em open! An’ if nobody opens it then your anatomy magazine’ll be safe.”

That was a very good idea, this guy clearly gets it.

"Is your friend a robot? It would be easier to download the magazine as a file only they can access. There is no way to completely eliminate the risk of their rooommates finding a physical copy!"

[Yes that makes sense, but-]

[You see, unfortunately the latest copies of the magazine are only PRINTED. I would have to wait about a month for it to be online, and even then the quality would not be that great compared to the physical copy.]

𝓐s the beast rose to his full height, Star simply smiled at him before realizing that she had made a mistake in destroying what he had worked so hard at. She took a moment to look around at her mess before placing her hands on her hips and looking back up at him, reading the text that illuminated on his display. Oh heck, he wasn’t actually a trash robot.

At that, the girl quickly scurried over to the trash she had exploded so mindlessly and began to pick it up carefully, conjuring a magical bag and tossing the trash in.

❝ Shoot, sorry, I didn’t know you weren’t actually a trash man!! I didn’t mean to make such a huge mess. ❞

She silently wondered why her magic didn’t actually destroy all the trash and had, instead, thrown it literally everywhere else.

Glancing over Canti watched the teen scamper over towards him, responding with a almost apathetic nod as she began to explain herself. It’s not as if this was the first time he was mistaken for some kind of social worker.

Canti began to recover some of the charred trash, grateful that the youth had decided to help him pick up the new mess. He stopped midway in the clean up as he had a sudden realization. His screen began to flicker and display different images and even some broadcasted media before stopping at what seemed to be some kind of old recording. The image and sound was hard to decipher but the voices seemed at least human, somewhere among the static the words “Spirale welcomes you...”

As if there had been something cooking inside of his head, a little alarm had went off from inside Canti, that akin to what one would hear from a microwave. Turning back towards Star he had pointed at himself before preparing a question for her on his screen,

𝓢tar had been walking apathetically through the city; her time recently had been unproductive with everyone seeming to be occupied with some task which was not her. The girl never even took note of the state of cleanliness in Spirale as it just seemed to blend into the background. As a result, she was slightly taken aback at the sight of the massive machine who was tending to the litter. Star paused for a moment to study the robot before her lips curved into a large grin; was this place equipped with giant trash robots? Oh, dang, that’s awesome!!! Well, she had nothing better to do, why not help the big guy?

Without further ado, the girl began to use her vividly colored magic to absolutely obliterate mounds of litter that the machine had accumulated. Once she had successfully removed one pile, she smiled up at him with sparkles twinkling in her eyes.

❝ I didn’t know Spirale had huge trash robots! That’s so cool!! ❞

She totally needed her own trash robot with how messy her room was… at least, Vergil would probably appreciate it.

A mix of terror and confusion straddled the poor robot as his collection of waste and trash was shot with such explosive force, the sound alone toppling Canti onto his back. Lifting up his head only to see the garbage he had painstakingly accumulated now scattered again across both the street and a bit on his own screen. With what can only be assumed as a distressed sigh, the robot lifted himself back up to his feet looking over to the source of the blast. A teenager, of course, it seemed as if the younger crowd here seemed to always have some of the more destructive magic. Dolefully he shook his head, he simply pointed at himself before allowing for text to appear on his screen.
