It had gotten to a point where her stomach was complaining to her, fairly loudly to her distraught. Maybe she could find someone to help her out? She could case her eyes about on passerby, looking for someone that seemed safe enough to approach. Judging that was…quite hard, considering they all looked like they came from places other than her home. Her brow would furrow, perplexion written upon her features. A few moments later, someone had caught her eye, and she would approach, her eyes practically gleaming with enthusiasm.  “Hello! Hi, you might not know this, but this, this is my first day here! Do you know where there's anything to eat? I don't think I'll last that much longer…”

at the second spell suggestion, star laughed before putting a hand on her hip.

Even Roman Generals sometimes have their off days. While he tries to carry himself with grace and poise - one stray footstep is enough to send him flying. Literally. Being kicked halfway across a room is better than being stepped on , he supposes , but that margin isn't very wide.

The helmet on his head flies off , scattering across the floor and landing right in front of unsuspecting feet. Octavius scrambles up from the ground , looking left and right for it. When he finally sees it ―― he reaches out to get her attention so she doesn't accidentally step on it. Or him , for that matter.

at his request, the girl takes a moment to look around her feet, remaining perfectly still in order to save whatever item he had lost. oh! there it was -- a little helmet of sorts. the girl kneeled down, taking a careful hold of it before holding it in the miniature's direction.

"Hey! Hey, you!" A sharp, piercing whistle sounds in the other's direction. "Calamity Jane! Yeah, get over here!"

Jed's made it approximately halfway across the sidewalk from the store he just departed from, shoulder shoving up against the rear of a remote-controlled car, its remote haphazardly balanced atop it. That's the trouble with these things - takes two to jury-rig the controls to work right, which is all fine and well, him and Octavius have done it loads of times. But getting it all the way back to where they're staying? Well, that's another matter entirely. Goddamn, these things are heavy. And nobody else has passed this way so far.

without further ado, the princess spun on her heel before walking towards him, looking down at his vehicle with a quirked brow. at his request, she shook her head, waving her hand in the air with a light laugh.

she kneeled down, taking a hold of the remote before cocking her head to the side. if he needed to get somewhere, she could easily carry him... he was like, what, toy sized?

His thoughts translate into a dismissive wave of his hand, feeling no need to defend something he has no attachment to (...and as long as people don't think he chose to have it in the first place, he won't feel offended, either).

at his question, star let out a small laugh. i mean technically she did make it... but not in the way he thought.

she grinned playfully before tucking it away in her star bag, turning her attention back towards him -- it was so nice to meet a friendly face upon entering such a strange new world! she clapped her hands together in sheer excitement before speaking once again.

she lets out a deep sigh.

" okay, okay, i think i'm good... man, i haven't freaked out like that in a long time. i'm sorry you had to see that. "

Caught in a bout of frustration, which has just generally culminated from being in this place, he seeks something to take it out on. It ends up being the silly and frankly kind of insulting wooden rattle he was given, which is promptly thrown at the ground with an audible huff.

Mere moments afterward, he glances up to see that someone definitely witnessed that. A young girl, by the looks of it. Ah, whoops. Not setting a good example, is he?

It's reluctant, but he ends up picking the rattle back up with a forcibly-less-frustrated clear of his throat. "Littering is bad, I know." And he would've done so even without someone watching, promise!

This girl, though -- there's something familiar about her, albeit more along the lines of recognizable magic prowess than a face he's seen before. She may not be human, then.

star had been watching him nonchalantly, not really paying attention one way or another, only being shaken from her stupor as he threw his wooden rattle to the ground. as his attention shifted towards her, mentioning his action, the princess only laughed, walking closer towards him with crossed arms.

" oh i don't mind! at least you picked it up, right? no harm no foul! "

when he inquired as to what the stars had given her, she pulled her magic wand from her star-shaped purse, quirking a brow as she looked at then before back to him.

" hmm, no they actually gave me my actual wand... i did notice that a lot of the new people had like... dinky versions of their actual stuff. i wonder why they let me have this? "
