very honestly if you live in a minority white british area in london i will tell you a large number of the people you live around will not want to see union jacks or england flags for sure, very honestly we have our own communities that are the reality of the areas now, black african, asian muslim, middle eastern / north african people etc. aren't interested in having to consider these things.

#I live in a huge football neighbourhood and we had England flags all over for the World Cup even on many of the businesses owned by #immigrant families and most of my non British friends who live in London root for England to various degrees #so I guess experience is subjective !#I know people on both sides of the debate and neither of us can speak for all people!#but I’ve also never once said on this blog that all families should hang the flag up I sure don’t have a flag hung up? so circling back to #what post of mine are you replying to?#like there’s very real reasons for an aversion to the flags but I also don’t think it’s fair to. say immigrant communities aren’t interested #in the England football team bc that’s simply not true? a lot of the biggest England fans I know are from immigrant families #asks
