He canât ignore and Iâll tell you why and it has likely very little to do with his sensibilities, though I am sure that is part of it, but not the most important part... but first let me digress for a moment
[First of all, Sam dear, public health directives for travel and vacations were clear. Yes, you arrived in Hawaii after the travel ban, but public health officials issued a travel ban because idiots like you canât follow simple directions and you have to be told like children.]
Ok, now back to the issue at hand... itâs not about self pity..Â
This is all about career and image.Â
He is a celebrity. I doubt he looses sleep on what the fandom thinks. Neither he nor Cait really care that much. Sure, some of it is probably hurtful, but I doubt it really affects them that deeply.Â
The only times they care are when they think it is affecting their career or image related to their career.
The only reason Cait cared so much about shipping is because she sees it as a threat to her image as a serious actress and she has even used her husband as a public tool to further that image.
Sam never bothered to address shipping in this way really because he didnât care that much... it never affected his image or what he was trying to sell...but THIS Hawaii thing during the pandemic the whole world is focused on, for sure... that is affecting his image and career...Â
Doesnât surprise me at all he has public things coming up and he is clearing the air before hand...he doesnât want the fandom to embarrass him...
As I said before, and I will say again, this is all about PR and public image and career.Â
I have believed for a while that Sam and Cait would sell their own mothers for career and image, which is why I am skeptical of what they present to the public.Â
Whether I am right or wrong, idk, but I have believed for a while that Sam and Cait have a complicated relationship that doesnât allow him to form any serious attachments and leaves Caitâs marriage a bit fishy in that it doesnât seem like a traditional marriage.
And it all stems from what they think they need to do for career and image. Nobody is forcing them.. imo they want it this way because they believe this is the best for them and it happens to coincide with what their employer thinks is best for their bottom line...
I donât trust anything they say and I donât believe these people are genuine at all... EVER
