My last ‘google’ for Tumblr – adolescent language for “goodbye”
When I read about ‘Tumblr’ in our course instructions, I had no idea what Cat was talking about. To get an insight, I started with google then watched a YouTube clip. Still feeling out of my depth yet social network confident, I started the project which drew me back to my own adolescence.
Having to post to the project each week kept me up to date with study requirements, although sometimes I was pushed to achieve this. By looking for information, whether it was articles, pics, saying & quotes or my own words, I have gained a lot of knowledge through this study technique.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the variety of posts by my peers and the reblogged personal comments especially as we all have a different perspective on the topics we covered. There were some very personal topics, which I had to remember to keep personal information private. I was aware that others outside our study group could see his information and this did make me feel a bit uncomfortable. Alongside the more serious posts, I also enjoyed the humour.
Now that we have come to the end of this project, it has made me aware of how much information is available and Tumblr is an informative way of sharing thoughts and education between a group of peers striving for the same educated result.
Thank you to my peers for sharing your views on adolescents.
“Have a good one”
