... For the love of ART!

"Did I fall asleep? Why am I falling so slowly? What is this feeling? I'm not sure if I'm numb."

The wind blew and swirls past as you fall. It feels dangerous and all too unreal. Yet you don't bother to see if you're dreaming. Sinking slowly past the layers of time and space, your mind expands it tries to register these new sensations. You feel in your heart a small gentle voice, at once yours and strangely unfamiliar... 'Welcome home'.

A lot of people dont know this about me -- which I guess is now public-- but I train in White Crane Kung Fu. I guess in china it might be called Bai He / Pak Hok. I love martial arts. These days I also read a few different Wuxia titles. They're inspiring, fun and usually well drawn. It's a wonder I don't draw more on the subject.

Just a quick warm up sketch from this morning

It's been a long time since I've created a series. Life, work and random stuff getting in the way of creativity and time but I've got a set of new images I'm working on that I plan to launch in the about a months time. This image is a little something to wet the appetite but please keep an eye out as to when they'll drop.

I've had my nose to the grind stone for a few weeks now and I'm still not done with my latest project but I'll finish eventually. This was just something for me to warm up with this morning. It's amazing what a good nights sleep will give you.

Bless the Gods we survived! We had survived the maw of a leviathan and I for one was glad of it. But I never imagined even in a drunken stupor that I'd find myself in a Sea Folk village within the belly of the beast surrounded by it's villagers none of whom were happy to see us.
