googling how to slip into a huge beautiful life meant for me
you can never obtain a life so beautiful with an action as passive as a slip
Hey do yâall remember when Boeing fucking killed a guy last year. And we all said âhuh I guess Boeing fucking killed a guyâ and then went on with our lives. And everybody knew that Boeing had fully just fucking executed a guy and nothing came of it. Like there was no police investigation no justice no nothing. Like literally EVERYBODY knew that Boeing had full on murdered a guy to silence him and there wasnât any consequences for them. Kinda crazy.
and there was even less talk when openai did the exact same thing more recently
So for those who are, very understandably uninitiated on this story:
On 23 October last year (2024) the New York Times published an interview with former OpenAI researcher Suchir Balaji who worked on organising and gathering data for OpenAI until 2022 when he begun thinking about the morality of it. He eventually came to the conclusion that what OpenAI is doing blatantly violates copyright law and decided to leave the company altogether in August 2024.
After he came out with this accusation he was set to appear in court to testify against OpenAIâs data-gathering practices, something which had the potential of being a complete disaster for the company and the generative AI industry as a whole.
That was until 26 November, just days before he was due to appear in court, when he suddenly and mysteriously was found dead inside his own apartment. Investigators concluded that the death was self-inflicted, something which his family has disputed.
There was also âsign of struggle in the bathroom and looks like someone hit him in the bathroom based on blood spotsâ, and his apartment showed signs of having been ransacked for evidence: âThe pin drive is missing. His computer was messed up.â.
Overall it feels pretty clear-cut what happened, that is to say that OpenAI had him killed because he was a legitimate threat to their business, indicating that they are fully aware that the way theyâre gathering data is completely illegal.

Having an almond mom as a fat woman is its own type of torture. I'm nearly 30, I'm fat, I don't care that I'm fat cuz I'm comfortable, able to live my life without my size impacting me. The amount of times food has been hidden from me. The amount of times I have to suffer through weight comments. The amount of times I see people side eye what I eat. And now today I find out that she threw out the maple syrup I put in my coffee., the one I bought myself, while I was at work.
Every single person in my family has a bad relationship with food and with their body and body image. Living with people like this is hell

Overbearing and controlling parents when you're fat and an adult means they will control every aspect of your life, especially blocking your decisions and this will keep you mentally childlike when it comes to decision making, it will fuck up your confidence in your choices, your life, your belief in what's best for you and what you want in life.

As a former humanities student, I feel it is my duty to reblog this one.
Thought about how successfully feminism as a political movement has been replaced with the vague vibes based non-actionable concept of âbeing a girls girlâ and got so angry I had to take a walk
capitalism likes to act like itâs the big grown up who takes life seriously but the entire system is based on such laughably childish goals that a fucking 6th grader could tell you itâs unsustainable. trying to always beat your previous profit record is not only an obviously impossible goal, it shows a complete lack of forethought, and is also, completely pointless. itâs not the shrewd mindset of a master strategist, itâs the impulsive drive of an addict, always looking for a better high. its the kid who eats too much candy on halloween and gets sick. itâs childish and honestly just fucking dumb.
Happy to see this in places where I usually find white nationalist stickers.

So how do yall who read classic literature deal with the introduction? Personally I want to read them before I read the text in order to get some historical and biographical context but so many introductions have spoilers in them that even the writers advise to treat it like an afterword. But I feel like I miss out on context that would help me understand the text better.
So do yall skip it or just accept the spoilers and read the intro?
