It was narrated that Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said: “When the Prophet (ﷺ) got up at night to offer the Tahajjud prayer (i.e. night prayer),
The Most Significant Reasons For A Heart To Be In Anguish
Al-Hafidh Ibn Al-Qayyim [رحمه الله] [D. 751 A.H.] said:
وَمِن أعْظَمِ أسْبابِ ضِيقِ الصَّدْرِ
From the most significant reasons why a heart is in anguish:
الإعْراضُ عَنِ اللَّهِ تَعالى،
1 - Is turning away from Allāh [
2 - Attaching the heart to other than Him.
3 - Neglect remembering Him and loving other than Him.
Indeed whoever loved something other than Allāh, then that person is punished by that thing, and his heart is imprisoned by loving it.
[Za'ad Al-Ma'ad, (2/24)]
Ibn al-Qayyim
"The more you ask Allāh (in du’ā),
the closer you get to Him—and the more beloved you become to Him.
And the more you insist in supplication,
the more He loves you."
[Jalaa’ al-Afhaam, 1/344]
A tired soul. A broken heart. A prayer mat. And last third of the night.
“And enough is Allah as Disposer of affairs.”
Quran (33:3)

Know that you are an honoured woman within your religion. Your role is not insignificant - learn to be a strong minded woman, who takes her trials and finds strength in them and fears her Lord in all that she does. When sorrows come as rivers to drown you - build your ship to stay afloat and put your trust in Allah. Turn your sadness into patience and your happiness into gratitude.
Not everything will be a fairytale and do not be fooled by what social media shows you. But you control your mindset so find goodness in what comes to you and your heart will be content - do not belittle yourself at the slightest fall or dwell in self pity. You are not weak - you just need to find the key to your strength, and that key is your trust in Allah and being pleased with His decree
Take knowledge as your sword and tawakkul as your shield.
You will be a mother and you will raise the next generations
"The mother is the first school. If she is righteous, the progeny becomes righteous"

If you find yourself sluggish during Ramadan, stir up your determination by reminding yourself that these are just numbered days, and that in fasting and staying up at night in worship during it, there is abundant reward.
The opportunity for good deeds during Ramadan will pass with its passing, and if it is not taken advantage of, there will be no way to catch up with it later.
So be patient and seize what remains of it before it is gone.

O Allāh, I Seek Refuge in You from Falling Back (in my Deen) after Going Forward | Abu ‘Atiyah Mahmoud bin Muhammad
Ibn al Qayyim رحمه الله said,
It was said:
"I will remain patient in order to please You Oh Allah, even though my sorrow kills me.
It suffices me that You are pleased, even though my patience kills me.”
[Madarij as Salikeen | 2/157]
Hayaakoem Allaah, to whoever reads this: from the bottom of my heart, just because I care about each person who genuinely is or wants to seek knowledge: please hold yourself accountable of whatever you reblog/post or like!
I have been noticing lots of extremist activity on this website from those who consider themselves to between the 'extremism of the khawaarij and the neglect of the murji'ah', whilst exposing their own deviant manhaj (calling to wrongful jihaad that is not performed according to the legislations & ahkaam of Islaam, rebelling, accussations of 'irja - according to their belief 'ulemaa such as Shaykh ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله would have 'irja - (see this post), etc).
And they lure the people into their 'Aqeedah under the scheme of poetry or 'beautiful' quotations. Most of us do not hold ourselves accountable for reposting quotations which can be directed from those who have rebelled and innovated. Do not be the reason that others will be lead further into these false beliefs and investigate whatever book, quotation, poem you reblog or repost that is related this religion! Just because a quote sounds "beautiful" does not mean you should reblog it.
For it is mandatory to investigate every person who gives da'wah before any person can get misled as Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan
- where did this individual study?
- from what which books did/do they seek knowledge from?
- where were they reared?
- what is their 'aqeedah and does it align with the 'Aqeedah of the Salaf?
- what effects and what fruits have come forth from their actions?
-have the scholars warned against them?
And to end this with the following saying of imaam adh-Dhahabi
'The scholars from past and present have always refuted each others errors academically through research and writings. By this approach the Scholar gains insight and the mistakes are made known. However today, if a person of understanding follows this method he's accused of having ulterior motives, seeking fame or being extreme, so, people take a decision and act hostile towards him. We ask Allah for a good exit from this world and sincerity in deeds.'
Siyar 'Alam an-Nubala (12/500-501)
And this goes also to any other sect (soofis and shi'aa are also on huge numbers on this site, wa Allaahu al musta'aan). Always investigate and teach people according to the Qur'aan and Soennah. May Allaah guide us all and aid us in seeking the right knowledge from the trustworthy Scholars..
As someone once said,
'You wouldn't just trust your money to someone you don't know. Then why entrust your religion and Hereafter to someone you don't know by taking acquaintance with strangers? An empty cup can be filled by anyone. And if they err, you err.'

If you were to taste the pleasure of the hereafter, your drunken heart would sober up - Ibn Qayyim (alFawaaiid, p.119)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
There are no days during which the righteous action is so pleasing to Allah than these days (i.e., the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah).
He was asked: “O Messenger of Allah, not even Jihad in the Cause of Allah?” He ﷺ replied, “Not even Jihad in the Cause of Allah, except in case one goes forth with his life and his property and does not return with either of it.”

Imam Muhammad Ibn Salih al-'Uthaymin (رحمه الله) said, "How many an individual is worried about remaining upright, but he remains with friends that are not upright, so he is incapable of that. If he were to distance himself from them, that would be a cause of guidance." Fatawa Nur 'ala al-Darb (12/18)
