I understand your POV and don't think you dislike Lando. But there's a difference between being a Landoscar supporter and a Landoscar shipper. I am a supporter of multiple drivers, and I want all of them to have a chance at the WDC. And no, I'm not talking about this from an RPF lens. This is purely from the sports aspect of it.

Also, the comment on this post, which says you don't have to support or even like the drivers you write fic about... well, that's the exact kind of blogs you've come across, which you've unfollowed. The only difference is, it was Oscar they were hating and not Lando. So, you can see how it may come off as slightly hypocritical.

I have my personal feelings about people who write fic of a pairing where they dislike one of the drivers. It always shows in their writing, and it's more than unpleasant because reading and writing fic about your favs should be uplifting.

I agree with the part where you shouldn't write about someone you don't like, I'm not a writer but I read alot and I've seen it in a few authors writing and I had to block them because fanfics are the one place where discourse like this isn't supposed to exist.
