It's a wrap!!
One Last Game, A Lifetime of Lessons
Itโs a wrap!! Our last group facilitation turned out to be more than just a simple activityโit became one of the most meaningful moments Iโve experienced. The game we played was not only fun and exciting, but it also showed how powerful a group can be when there is real cooperation, unity, and trust. Every laugh, every challenge, and every effort we gave reflected how much weโve grown together. Winning the game felt amazing, but more than that, it felt like a reward for all the teamwork, patience, and understanding we built as a group.
I truly enjoyed this subject, Social Psychology, because it brought out a different side of meโthe creative, expressive, and reflective side that I didnโt always notice before. Along with my classmates, I was able to create memories that I know I will carry not just throughout college, but even when we all go our separate ways and start building our own paths in the future.
This subject gave me more than knowledgeโit gave me a new perspective in life. It changed how I understand people, how I see situations, and even how I see myself. I learned lessons that go beyond the classroom, lessons about connection, empathy, and the importance of working with others. I also discovered things about myself that I didnโt expect, and I became more aware of the people around me and their experiences.
Looking back, I can say that this journey was not always easy, but it was definitely worth it. This subject left a mark on me, and itโs something I will always rememberโnot just because of the lessons, but because of the people I shared it with.
โLearning to Help: A Small Step Toward Saving Livesโ
Helping others is an essential part of our lives. In many situations, we naturally offer help to people around us, whether it is a small act of kindness or assistance during difficult moments. Through this experience, I realized that helping is not only something we do occasionally, it is something we apply in our everyday lives, especially when someone is in need.
During the short emergency facilitation training, I was able to learn the basic steps on how to respond to someone in case of an unexpected emergency. Although the training was brief, it opened my eyes to the importance of being prepared when situations suddenly happen. I learned that even simple knowledge, such as checking the situation, staying calm, and knowing the first basic response, can already make a difference when someone needs immediate help.
However, despite learning these basic steps, I realized that I still feel uncertain about my ability to respond to real emergencies. I only know the fundamental procedures, and because of that, I do not feel fully confident in helping someone, especially when the situation is more complex or serious. This realization made me reflect on how important it is to continue learning and practicing emergency response skills. Knowing that someoneโs life could depend on quick and proper action can feel overwhelming, and it reminds me that being prepared requires more than just basic knowledge.
At the same time, this experience inspired me to become more aware and responsible. It made me realize that even if I am not yet fully confident, learning these skills is already a meaningful step toward becoming someone who can help others in critical situations. It also reminded me that helping others is not about being perfect or knowing everything; it is about having the willingness and courage to respond when someone needs assistance.
Lastly, this short training became a meaningful learning experience for me. It helped me understand the importance of emergency awareness and encouraged me to continue improving my knowledge and confidence. I may still have doubts about my abilities now, but I believe that with more practice and learning, I can become someone who is better prepared to help others when it truly matters.
โBeyond First Impressions: Learning Not to Judge Too Quicklyโ
We often judge people easily or form stereotypes about them simply because they do not meet our expectations. Sometimes, without realizing it, we quickly assume things about others based on their behavior, appearance, or the little information we know about them.
Reflecting on this made me realize how common it is for us to form conclusions about someone even before we truly understand their situation. During the activity, while I was answering the questions and observing the discussion, I became more aware of how easily we judge people, especially those whom we usually notice the most. I noticed that we tend to suspect or blame the person who appears different, acts nervously, or does not behave the way we expect them to. Because of this, we sometimes overlook the possibility that our assumptions might not be accurate. This realization made me reflect on my own thinking and how I sometimes rely on quick judgments instead of taking the time to understand the full picture.
The activity helped me see that our perceptions can be strongly influenced by our expectations and by the opinions of others around us. When several people begin to suspect someone, it becomes easier for the rest of the group to agree with that idea, even if there is not enough evidence. In that moment, I realized how powerful social influence can be and how it can shape the way we view others.
This experience made me reflect on how important it is to pause and think before judging someone. Every person has their own story, emotions, and circumstances that we may not fully understand. Judging someone too quickly can lead to unfair assumptions and misunderstandings. Through this activity, I learned that being more open-minded and thoughtful in how we view others is essential.
Lastly, the activity reminded me that our first impressions are not always correct. It encouraged me to be more mindful of my judgments and to practice understanding people more deeply rather than relying on stereotypes. This realization may seem simple, but it left a meaningful impact on how I see and treat others in everyday life.
Conformity and Obedience in Action: A Reflection on โPaint Me a Picture
Conformity and obedience can be seen in our everyday experiences, and I personally noticed this during our last facilitation activity, โPaint Me a Picture.โ During the game, I felt both excited and physically tired because we had to run and use a lot of energy. Despite the exhaustion, I realized how naturally I followed the instructions and adapted to what the group needed in that moment. Because of the time pressure, I had to think quickly and be creative by improvising the materials we picked and turning them into something useful.
Looking back, the activity made me realize how easily people cooperate, conform to group decisions, and obey instructions when they are working toward a common goal. It also showed me the importance of teamwork, quick thinking, and trusting the process even when we are under pressure.

WHO'S SWAYING WHO?
Attitudes guide our judgments, and persuasion has the power to change our minds. During our murder mystery case facilitation, I realized that every clue was not just simple evidence,it was also an opportunity to influence how people think and interpret the story. It was interesting to see how the same set of clues could lead to different conclusions, depending on how people viewed and explained them. In the end, solving the mystery was not only about finding the right answer, but also about understanding how attitudes and persuasion affect the way we judge situations and make decisions.โ
Believing, Connecting, Growing
During the activity, I realized how much our social beliefs shape the way we see ourselves and others. What I once thought was just โnormalโ or โtrueโ was opened up to new perspectives as I listened to my peers and shared my own thoughts. It made me reflect on my own assumptions and biases, and understand how important it is to be aware of the way our beliefs influence our interactions. I began to see that respecting and trying to understand different beliefs doesnโt just help us get along, it actually brings people closer, creates trust, and deepens connections.
Being part of this activity wasnโt just fun, it was deeply meaningful, because it reminded me that connecting with others starts with openness, curiosity, and the willingness to participate. Even small moments of sharing, asking questions, or considering each others point of view can help us grow emotionally and socially. I felt inspired seeing how others approached situations differently, and it encouraged me to be more thoughtful, patient, and understanding in my own interactions.
I walked away feeling more aware, more compassionate, and reminded that every conversation is a chance to learn, relate, and create understanding. This activity taught me that growth isnโt just about gaining knowledge, itโs about changing how we see the world and how we connect with others. Believing in the value of every perspective, and taking the time to connect, can turn simple interactions into meaningful experiences that shape who I am and who I strive to be in my social relationships.
โจ Learning to Understand and Connect โจ
Iโve realized that social thinking isnโt just about noticing what people doโitโs about understanding why they do it, and recognizing the feelings, perspectives, and experiences that shape their actions. Every conversation, every interaction, is an opportunity to step outside myself and see the world through someone elseโs eyes. I want to be someone who listens with empathy, thinks before judging, and responds with care and understanding. I know that being socially aware means paying attention not just to words, but also to unspoken feelings, body language, and the small signs that reveal what someone may truly need.
This journey has taught me that even small acts of understanding can make a meaningful difference. Whether itโs offering a kind word, supporting a friend in need, standing up for someone, or simply being present, these moments of connection can brighten someoneโs day and create trust and respect. Iโve learned that the way I respond, the way I communicate, and the way I choose to empathize can shape the relationships I have and the environment I create around me. Social thinking isnโt always easy, it requires patience, reflection, and the willingness to consider perspectives different from my own, but itโs worth every effort.
Learning to connect with others, to truly see them and acknowledge their experiences, has helped me growโnot just socially, but emotionally as well. I am discovering that my thoughts, my patience, and my empathy can create deeper connections, inspire understanding, and even encourage positive change in the people around me. Social thinking is not just a skill Iโm developing, itโs a mindset that shapes how I relate, care, and contribute to the world. Each day, Iโm reminded that meaningful connections are built through attention, respect, and the willingness to understand others, and that even small gestures of empathy can ripple out and make the world a little kinder.
My Design Role Behind the Booth: A Pre-Med Days Special
Being part of the design committee for our Pre-Med Days booth allowed me to share my creativity in a meaningful and fulfilling way. Behind the visuals and setup, I contributed ideas, designs, and small details that helped bring our booth to life. Seeing how these elements came together to create an engaging, welcoming, and memorable experience for everyone who visited was truly rewarding. It showed me that even small contributions can have a big impact, and that the thought and effort we put into creative work can be seen and appreciated by others in ways we might not always expect.
This experience reminded me that even behind-the-scenes roles are important, and that success doesnโt always come from being in the spotlight. Every idea I shared, every adjustment I made to the booth, and every collaboration with my team members strengthened our project and made it better than I could have imagined on my own. I learned that teamwork is more than just working together, itโs about supporting one another, listening, sharing perspectives, and combining our unique skills to create something meaningful.
Most importantly, this experience taught me that being part of a team isnโt just about completing tasks, itโs about contributing in ways that reflect your strengths, learning from others, and making a positive impact together. I realized that creativity, patience, and collaboration can inspire others, even in quiet or unseen ways. Being part of the design committee showed me that meaningful work comes not only from leading but also from contributing, learning, and giving your best, and that every effort, no matter how small, adds value and meaning to the group as a whole.

Learning to Show Up in a Group
Our group booth facilitation taught me that being in a group is more than just sharing tasks. Being surrounded by my group made me feel braver when talking to strangers and explaining our booth because I knew I wasnโt alone. At the same time, I noticed that having people around also made me more aware of my mistakes and nervous moments. The presence of others can lift your confidence, but it can also add pressure, even when no one is judging you. It showed me how much our performance and emotions change just because we are not by ourselves.
I also realized how easy it is to change the way we give effort in a group. There were moments when I tried harder because I didnโt want to disappoint my group, but there were also moments when I caught myself thinking that someone else would handle a task. When responsibility is shared, it sometimes feels lighter, and because of that, itโs easy to wait for others to move first. The booth made me reflect that groups can support you, but they can also quietly make you less responsible if youโre not mindful of your role.
Lastly, I learned that even small voices can make a difference in a group. One suggestion or one brave comment can improve how the group works, even if it comes from someone who is usually quiet. Being part of a group can slowly shape how you think and act, sometimes without you noticing. This experience reminded me that I can be influenced by the group and still choose to speak up, take responsibility, and stay true to myself.
โSomeone Else Willโฆ Or Notโ
Someone drops their bag *crash*
Crowd goes quietโฆ everyone just stares.
Eyes look left, eyes look right,
โSomeone else will helpโฆ not my fight.โ
This is the bystander effect in action,
Everyone hopes someone else takes the action.
Diffusion of responsibility, no one feels in charge,
So we all freeze, and nothing gets large.
We scroll our phone, whisper excuses,
Pretend we didnโt see, act like recluse.
But science says one brave person can start,
Even small help can grow big in heart.
Step up first, break the silent spell,
Kindness spreads faster than you can tell.
One hand reaching out, one hero appears,
And suddenly the crowd loses their fears.
Next time someone needs a hand, donโt wait,
Be the first to act, donโt leave it to fate.
Helping matters more than you know,
A small act of courage makes kindness grow.
Itโs Just a Jokeโฆ Until It Hurts.
Jokes can hurt. Words can wound. Choose kindness over cruelty. What feels small to you can feel heavy to someone else.
In friend groups, prejudice often hides in โjust kiddingโ momentsโteasing about looks, background, or personality. When everyone laughs, it can feel harmless, but for the person on the receiving end, it can build shame and hurt. Over time, these small moments turn into quiet aggression, where someone feels less seen, less safe, and less valued. Our social interactions shape how we treat each otherโwhen we normalize hurtful jokes, we normalize prejudice. Real friendship means calling out harm, choosing empathy, and making sure everyone feels they belong.
Finding My Own Voice
Growing up, I was exposed to my parentsโ political views, and there is pressureโspoken or unspokenโto agree with them to avoid conflict or disappointment. At times, it feels easier to conform and stay quiet than to express a different opinion. However, as I form my own views based on what I learn and experience, I realize that not conforming does not mean disrespecting my parentsโit means thinking critically and choosing my own values. This taught me that conformity can keep peace in relationships, but independence in beliefs is important for personal growth and responsible citizenship.

Period one exam is done, yet the journey has only begun. Learning does not end with a grade, nor with the quiet of the classroom's shade.
Here, ideas awaken, stretch, and grow, through open dialogueโs gentle flow. Through voices shared, both bold and shy, we lift our thoughts to meet the sky.
Honest feedback, like a mirror, shows the strengths we build and the gaps we close. Mistakes are not marks of shame, but seeds from which understanding came.
Teamwork weaves a vibrant thread, connecting minds, where curiosity is fed. Social psychology breathes in the spacewhere listening and sharing leave their trace.
It lives beyond the margins of a book, in the questions we dare to ask, in the looks we give each otherโcurious, sincereโwhere every insight grows more clear.
So let us gather, speak, and write, turn confusion into guiding light. For knowledge blooms when we engage, and wisdom deepens beyond the page.

In the quiet storm of our group meeting,
ideas collided, whispered, and intertwined.
Persuasion came not as a shout,
but as a gentle current,
shaping minds with patience,
molding hearts with understanding.
As a student, I often wander through shadows of doubt,
feeling like an impostor in rooms meant for learning.
Yet in the soft echo of encouragement,
in the mirror of shared trust,
I find my voice,
and the courage to believe in my own becoming.
Attitudes are not mere thoughtsโthey are silent architects.
Persuasion is not a battleโit is an awakening,
a quiet revolution within,
where openness births growth,
and self-doubt slowly fades into possibility.
หโ*ยฐโข.หโ*ยฐโข WITH EVERY FALL, I GROW; EVERY MISTAKE MOVES ME FORWARD โขยฐ*โห.โขยฐ*โห
When I first entered college, no one warned me how draining and overwhelming it could be. The stress, pressure, and countless expectations hit me harder than I imagined. The closer I get to the next level, the more anxious I feel about the future, unsure if I am ready to face it. Iโm not like some students who seem to excel effortlessly in everything. I quickly judge myself, compare and thinking, โ๐๐ฉ๐บ ๐ค๐ข๐ฏโ๐ต ๐ ๐ฃ๐ฆ ๐ญ๐ช๐ฌ๐ฆ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ฎ?โ or feeling discouraged whenever I make a mistake.
There were times when fear held me backโfear of failing, fear of stepping out of my comfort zone, fear of making the wrong choice. I would hesitate to try new things, even though I wanted to, because I was afraid of messing up or looking foolish. Learning is exciting, but at times, my fear made it hard for me to fully embrace it.
Yet, through all of this, Iโve learned something important: ๐ข๐๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐จ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฃ๐ค๐ฉ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐โ๐ฉ๐๐๐ฎ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ฃ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ค๐ ๐๐ง๐ค๐ฌ๐ฉ๐. Every time I stumble or fail, I rise again and fight back and become a better version of myself. I discover more about myself, my limits, and my strength. Each failure teaches me patience, resilience, and courage. I now remind myself that itโs okay to make mistakes, that I donโt need to be perfect, and that every small setback is shaping me into a stronger, wiser, and more confident version of myself.
Iโve realized that life, like college, is not about never fallingโitโs about rising every time we fall. And with every challenge I face, every mistake I make, I grow a little more, I trust myself a little more, and I become a little closer to the person I aspire to be.
