He almost laughs at himself. Honestly, who would believe him if he told them a fanciful tale about a gorgeous merman sleeping in a cave? Exactly… nobody!

“It would really be a shame if you had to go out and ruin that gorgeous outfit. This won’t help the shoes, but at least it could help protect your hair and dress.”

As Louis held the umbrella out to her, the woman didn’t take it. She looked surprised, and Louis couldn’t blame her. It was absolutely pouring.

“It’s really okay to take it. My clothes can handle the rain. They’ve done it before and they will again.”

“No, no,” the woman said. “I couldn’t take that when you need it yourself.”

Louis took another step closer and pressed the umbrella into the woman’s hand.

“I’ll be fine. I’m just headed home and it’s only about a five minute walk.”

The woman’s eyes filled with gratitude. “Thank you.”

Louis shrugged before heading towards her flat. “No problem. Have a good night.”

When Louis shares her favorite umbrella with a gorgeous woman on a dark and stormy night, she doesn't expect to see either of them again. She definitely didn't think that when she did, it would be on the cover of a gossip magazine.
