As soon as he sees the look on the other man’s face though. He knows it isn’t a joke.

It’s revenge.

(Or the one where Harry has an interesting run in with a stranger in the park. It turns out to alright).

Long Lost and Finally Free

Of course it makes sense for Louis to move to the cozy little retirement village on the outskirts of the town he's lived in for most of his life. He's in his 70s, and it'll allow his daughter and her family to move into the old family home and be closer to him. That doesn't mean he doesn't want to complain about it a little bit.

Then one day a knock on his door brings his childhood best friend back into his life. They've taken different paths over the years, but the timing is perfect for them to walk side by side for a while.

Louis moves into a flat that doesn't allow dogs

So Harry also keeps Maple, which means Louis keeps showing up to walk her.

Maple keeps both of them, together.

Three walks a day were supposed to be for the dog. The walks become cups of tea, shared dinners and quiet evenings. Somewhere between routines and ordinary days, two people who thought they had fallen out of love begin finding their way back. Neither Harry nor Louis realises they're quietly rebuilding a life together until it already feels like home.
