The meaning of life is anything you do that prevents you from killing yourself. The meaning of life can be staring at the clouds instead of your bedroom ceiling, cuddling with the person you love and knowing for yourself that sometimes thatâs the best feeling. The meaning of life can be watching your favorite TV series, reading profound quotes on the internet, writing a poem about sadness and taking good care of your pet. The meaning of life can be eating your favorite kind of pizza, listening to your favorite song on the radio and listening to your heart still beating and knowing that as long as itâs still beating there is always space for breathing. The meaning of life is creating hope from the little things so when youâre feeling discouraged, helpless and alone, youâll always have a way to cope for you to find your path towards better things.

some of you never experienced the âthis isnât available in your countryâ situation and it shows
Emma Stone screaming âIâm sorryâ during Sandra Ohâs monologue shows that at any given moment, without a hint of irony, White women will insert themselves into a woman of colorâs spotlight. She HAD to say something, despite the years and years of silence on the issue, right then and there as a half laugh forâŚwhat? To turn the real issue of white washing into a joke? To reinsert herself into the conversation when her decisions hurt Asian actors like Sandra? Itâs all liberal posturing disgusing white fragility because she most definitely felt embarrassed to be indirectly called out for her complicity in white washing.
Why else yell an apology after four years of her just never really addressing it? Itâs white guilt taken to a literal extreme to pander to the audience for cheap woke laughs. âLook at her, sheâs aware of the issues! And sheâs sorry!!! XD total self own!â White women canât bare to sit in their uncomfortability when they are confronted with their complicity and try to detract from it in any way possible. Sure, itâs just a throw away comment but really think about the ideology that fueled her need to say that in the first place, at the time she said it, and the reaction of her saying it from a most white crowd. By dismissing the comment as a jokey, self depreciating nod, we dismiss how white people can constantly do some self flaggration, usually publically, years after the damage has already been done. We see it over and over again.
Yes I know Sandra and Andyâs joint monologue was to supposed to be light hearted and fun, poking satirical fun at topics etc etc but itâs something to chew on. The whole interaction was brief (Emmaâs comment wasnât planned and she literally injected it into the monologue) but is pretty illuminating.
This is spooky af. Yuck.
sadly this happens in almost every municipal term in spain. with the exception of big cities like madrid or barcelona, in which they actually âcastâ black people to perform as the black wise man baltasar, most cities and towns resort to blackface. this is a major issue, and most of spainâs white population isnât even aware that itâs problematic.
but major associations like sos racismo madrid, afeofĂŠminas, afroconciencia and many more anti racists collectives have been actively criticizing this practice, and step by step itâs reaching the public.
Millennials and Gen Z: Trump shows signs of being a genocidal dictator, we shouldnât vote for him
Baby boomers: OOOOO Is your Safe Space being violated by his comments snowflake??? How AWFUL IT must be to have a REAL man for president instead of OoOoBamA
Trump, after being voted into office: *leaves the UN human rights council, puts hundreds of young children into prison camps and tent cities, takes away valuable items like rosaries similar to the removal of rings during the Holocaust, puts babies and toddlers into foster homes/orphanages, literally treats ACTUAL CHILDREN like prisoners for wanting a better life elsewhere*
Baby boomers: ohâŚ.oh noâŚ.
Millennials and Gen Z: *stare into the camera like theyâre on the office*
bold of you to assume the boomers have reached the âoh noâ point

Developing a Positive Mental Attitude
1. Remind yourself that you are NOT your feelings.
2. Donât sweat the small stuff; choose to focus on what matters. Ignore or overlook the petty things, and grievances.
3. Feel the power as you learn to take control of your reactions. Youâre not just a puppet, where someone pulls your strings.
4. Donât agree with other peoplesâ opinions of your value, or the way they rate your actions, your motives or achievements. Donât let them be your judge, or the one who sets your worth.
5. Donât compare yourself to others as weâre all different and unique. Set yourself some goals to go for, and celebrate when you succeed.
6. Accept that lifeâs a journey, and we grow and change with time. We donât start off being perfect â so expect to get things wrong.
7. Love yourself completely and unconditionally. Youâre a worthwhile individual â and youâll get there in the end.
âNobody can teach me who I am. You can describe parts of me, but who I am - and what I need - is something I have to find out myself.â
â Chinua Achebe
