An illustration titled "The Battle Between Tuberculosis Bacteria and White Blood Cells." This type of illustration—which personifies elements of the immune system—is commonly found in children's books, but what surprises us is that this exact image appears in a 1927 publication. How astonishing that such a unique illustration had already been completed over 100 years ago!! Could this be the direct ancestor of "Cells at Work"?
