What reason would they have to put a mage in these dungeons?

They already kill you if you don’t make it through your Harrowing. 

They make you Tranquil if you refuse to go through your Harrowing.

They have Templars to smite and silence mages if they think about raising a hand against them. 

Scared, new mages would benefit immediately by being placed with the apprentices or at least an Enchanter to assure them that they are going to be fine. That they are in a new home with people just like them. 

Why haven’t these cells been cleared and made into storage? Or additional classrooms or dormitories? 

Because honestly, ‘Mages aren’t people, like you and me.’

How many mages were sent here for looking at a Templar the wrong way?

How many mages were sent here for a spell that got out of hand?

How many mages were sent here for kissing another mage?

How many mages were sent here for escape attempts?

How many mages were sent here for simply talking about freedom?

How many new, young mages died in these cells? 

Hawke and Fenris. The first piece (First Night) is their night together in DA2. I kept it very sketchy and simple. The second piece (Reunion) takes place post-Trespasser, and it took me about 11 hours to complete.

Reunion: She was here. She was here. Hawke smelled of death and decay and the alien clutches of the Fade, but she was alive. The dam that held back the torrents of emotion he felt finally broke and he released a guttural cry, clutching her ever closer.

He didn’t want to lose her again.

Fits into my ‘His Chosen’ au. Te’lise and Solas are both bound to Mythal, but serve in different social classes: Solas as a noble, and Te’lise as a slave. After figuring out how to remove vallaslin, she is one of the first elves he frees, and becomes a steadfast ally on his journey of discovery… and deception.

The templars have everything! For a thousand years they’ve had the knights, the lyrium, the bloody Maker on their side!
