why were all the pop punk/screamo/metalcore underground bands always having the most impressive clean vocalists??? like is there a study on this how did they always find someone who not only sang well but could belt beautifully and usually had impressive ranges so random from them tbh like yeah hear us scream angrily into the mic as men but also here's jeremy he's about to belt out the most insane power ballad vocal

low key gen z's discovery of deftones kinda ruined them for me in the sense that like when a song get's over played on the radio but on the internet and now i can't listen to them ever again until i forget they exist

haven't had that weird feeling anymore i can't even describe it i barely understand it. it's like all of a sudden i was an actor and i was the only one aware while everyone was stuck in the film. and i just felt extremely weird and uncomfortable but just an unexplainable feeling. super uncomfortable. similar to how sometimes it feels like my limbs are not attached to my body (usually my arms) and it feels like they're stretching and twisting and i can't tell what position they're in even though i'm looking at them and it's weird it's so weird i have to physically shake myself out of it if anyone has an answer let me know
