Chapter 4: Anonymous Fate
Itachi Uchiha was walking across the outdoor halls in the akatsuki hideout, he was carrying a cat in his arms while the cat is clutching tightly to him.
He sees Kisame passing by as well, he thinks to himself: “what might Kisame be up to now? It’s been too long since we had interacted with one another.” As it is very unusual to see Kisame, someone depicted as very handsome and as his father or at least as his fatherly figure.
Swoosh…..!
The cat jumps off out of Itachi’s arms, the cat runs very fast, Itachi has no choice but to hurry behind the cat. Kisame stops him by standing in his way.
“Oh well, Itachi-San, so what have you been doing all of this time?” Questioning starts by Kisame.
“I was focusing on recovering from my disease, I was working alongside Sasori & Deidara.” Answers him Itachi.
“Well, I see, what have you been working on?” Asks him Kisame, as if he’s his boss.
“Well. We were trying to locate a site of importance.” Answer came lightly with low confidence by Itachi.
“Why is this site important, Itachi?” Questions Kisame.
“It is because, well you see, there have been many signals from that place for an anonymous reason!” Excitedly answers Itachi.
“Well Itachi, I think you should quit the organization, if that is what you’re doing.” Bluntly says Kisame.
“Why is that?” Asks Itachi.
“Well it is because you need to carry out missions that the leader wants you to.” Answers Kisame.
“But he hadn’t told me to do anything! How should I?” Exclaims Itachi.
“Well that means he wants you to quit the organization, you have been behaving like children lately.” Tells him Kisame.
“I don’t think that, I mean, I complete my missions too well!” Argues Itachi with Kisame.
“Listen. Itachi-San, I have to go on a mission with Kakuzu, prepare yourself to leave, immediately!” Orders him Kisame.
“……….”
Itachi is left speechless standing in the hall stranded. He has not done anything worse than Sasori or Deidara, he was following the akatsuki’s demands thorougly, why does this ever happen to him only and only him?
Why is everyone living happily, more prosperous than him?
Why do people seem to know what is truthfully going on but are keeping him out of everything?
Itachi is hurt. He indeed is left out & excluded from everything.
What should he do now, he cannot disbelieve Kisame?
Surely Kisame was the one ordered to issue him his position now.
He walks, he remembers the cat, where has the cat gone to? The cat probably ran off to the wilderness but will return back by the evening.
Itachi is left with no choice, there is no other choice now, he walks inside the hideout, he goes upstairs, he goes to his room, he sits on the sofa he used to drink tea on, he then starts thinking & re-thinking. He evaluates himself & re-evaluates himself. There is nothing wrong with Itachi, with what he does. This is thought not a random decision! He can’t figure out, now he has no choice.
If thee decision is to leave, then where to leave to?
There is no place to go to, a rogue ninja will soon only be eliminated, if left without an organization. A powerful organization like the akatsuki has no equal in the world!
Itachi seems to have remembered something. Last time him & Sasori & Deidara sat together in the hall, before leaving to prepare tea with the cat, he had been waiting and watching the cat in the garden playing with grass, the cat was visible because there are windows across the hall. He does not understand why has he remembered this certain thing, a mischief by the cat. His mind might not indicate anything of importance, at all.
Knock!
Somebody is knocking Itachi’s door, he hurries, he opens the door, he sees Sasori standing there:
“So I heard about what happened to you, I think you should join with Orochimaru, in that case.” Says Sasori.
“Well you do know Orochimaru wants me as his human vessel, it is too dangerous.” Objects to the idea, Itachi.
“Well I don’t have any more say in this, then. See you later, then?” Assures him Sasori.
Sasori leaves, Itachi closes the door with a pain in his chest, Sasori has left him and went on to Deidara, now he is left by the doorsteps again.
This has to be resolved.
There is no way this is the end!
He remembers now! He walks towards the window of his room, he opens the curtains, he sees smoke signals! This might be it! Somebody is threatening someone, it is likely him only that is why he has to leave! Oh who might it be?
Itachi runs out of his room he runs downstairs he goes outdoor he exits the hideout. He runs towards the smoke signals in the forest outside of the akatsuki hideout. To his surprise what he finds is a woman, it is the beauty, Kushina Uzumaki.
What brings her here, was she not dead?
