She was a little bit confused by Anne Wheeler (Zendaya) and Phillip Carlyle’s (Zac Efron) relationship, and why they couldnt be together. I told her “this movie takes place a long time ago, and back in those days, people with light skin and people with dark skin weren’t allowed to be together.” And JoJo’s face dropped and she got super sad and turns to the screen and goes “oh. Oh no.” And honestly my heart BROKE. I went “but they love each other anyways.” And her face lit up and she went “REALLY?!” And then during Rewrite the Stars her smile was so huge my heart exploded.

Later on there’s a part in the movie where Carlyle and PT Barnum (Hugh Jackman) are talking in front of a building. JoJo leans over to me and goes “ohhhh so they’re allowed to be together because they both have light skin?” And i gave her a sad look and said “actually no, during this time you weren’t allowed to be with someone if you were both boys or if you were both girls.” She whips her head to me and gives me the angriest look and screams “WHAT? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE” and slams her fist on the arm rest. I laughed and went “they don’t even WANT to be together though, JoJo”

There’s a few minutes of silence before JoJo turns to me confused and goes “they dont?” And i gave her a confused looks so she goes “they dont want to be together?” I laughed and went “no! Barnum is married and Carlyle loves Anne remember?!” And she squinted at me and went “but they look like they love each other.” And i went “how do you suppose?” She threw her hands up in exasperation like it was obvious and went “he saved him from the fire!! They DANCED together! And they look at each other like they love each other.” I turn back to the screen slowly as a realization hits me…

I am screaming! It’s late afternoon, the sun is balmy and they are just relaxing together. Talking a kut nothing and walking side by side and bumping hands until Newt gently grasps hold of Percival hand’s and when he looks at the oldsr man, Percival is smiling at him and they stop walking and Percy gently cups Newt’s face, cradles it tenderly before leaning in to kiss his mith and then.

And then he whispers Newt’s name and Newt answers with an equally soft yes.

Then Percy gets down on his knee and he says, “I couldn’t fins the ring because the damned Niffler stole it. Again. But Newton Artemis Fido Scamander. The light of mg life. Will you do the honour and marry me?”

Newt is biting his lip, sniffs a bit because he’s overwhelmed with emotion. Then he says:

“Marrying me means you’re marrying my magical case too and all of its inhabitants.”

And Percival replies: “I already accept the creatures as part of you. As much as they drive me up against the wall sometime, I adore them more so than I should.”

So I see a ton of fic recs and had always hoped that my fics would be good enough to rec, but I have noticed that any story written within the past 3 years, gets next to no attention whatsoever, unless there are a shit ton of reviews and favs. And even then, I see fic rec lists on Tumblr or Yahoo or Reddit, and rarely do I see my fics, or fics from people I know, on those lists. Even though we’ve reached the usual review/fav amount required.

One of the orderlies doesn’t like Alana’s decision and secrets away the letters, sending them to Will Graham anyway. Hannibal bares his soul, Will falls in love and sheds his fears, and Alana is unaware of it all. Oh, the drama that shall unfold.

In a misguided notion of mercy, she decides that Will doesn’t need to know that Hannibal is trying to contact him and lies to Hannibal, telling him that Will has threatened to leave should Hannibal persist. She decides to just have the letters shredded. Hannibal realizes the opportunity for what it is and chooses to continue writing to Will, pouring his heart into those words and using his Memory Palace Will to pretend that everything is right with the world. He can confess his adoration and Will would never know. Hannibal would never have to face rejection and Will wouldn’t know his feelings. But there is a small issue. One of the orderlies doesn’t like Alana’s decision and secrets away the letters, sending them to Will Graham anyway. Hannibal bares his soul, Will falls in love and sheds his fears, and Alana is unaware of it all. Oh, the drama that shall unfold.
