For Info D, I've learnt that many of the visuals there are also a part of sending the message across to the user by supporting the text/headers/sub-headers. They were not only just images as you see it but different factors like colors, shapes, text, all play a part in classifying boundaries, sub-categories of the information. They all serve as a indicator and supporter to the information and relaying the message to the public, that's what I feel info design is about.
