You are the president of Hades self ship Tumblr to me actually
It's an accolade I do not deserve but will tentatively accept ... Though don't forget to pay your dues to my favorite Foresight Fucker and Grandpa Fetishist 🥺
If only more of my buddies were consistently active with their Hades ships ... But they have many other wives to tend to. It's just me and my pretty little bird here against da world
Hey thar USians,
Have you enjoyed purchasing things from overseas? Have you delighted in receiving goods from overseas sellers?
Well, turns out, your government isn't helping out anyone with their tariff policy, and Postal carriers across the world are just... no longer accepting commercial parcels to the US. The list (as of August 26th) includes Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, Denmark, Japan and Switzerland, and a number of other country's postal services have signalled they'll also be suspending parcel service shortly.
Even better, International Courier services are also suspending commercial parcel service to the US, with DHL being the most high-profile courier to do so.
Why are carriers doing this? Well, there's a few reasons:
There's no longer an exception on Customs for low-value parcels, which means that every parcel needs to be inspected to confirm what's in it, and be charged either the nation's tariff charge, or an US$80 flat fee.
The new requirements from US Customs appear to be rather... unclear, and getting someone in US Customs to clarify matters is proving extremely difficult (like, say, how this tariff is intended to be collected).
Worse, there doesn't seem to be a system to determine where a parcel is in the new customs process.
As a result, parcels are... disappearing, and this is causing some ire for business customers in these nations, because thanks to Trump's previous re-writing of International shipping costs in 2021, it's hellaciously expensive to send parcels to the US now (there used to be a way to send letter-sized parcels on letter rates, but can't do that now), and no-one really wants to resend parcels internationally.
There's no indication as to when this is likely to stop, by the way. Our carriers are all just trying to figure out how to streamline this tariff shit and help customers manage it, buuuuut no one seems able to give anyone any clues. And as such, a bunch of online merchants across the world are just turning off shipping for the US entirely. What else can they do? If we can't get our stuff to you, we can't really accept your money.
So, just to let y'all know, very soon you might not be able to purchase physical stuff internationally. Not just "it'll be super-expensive", but "You won't even be able to buy it, because we can't send it".
Lately things have been a bit hectic. Besides handling accounting and debt follow-ups, I’m also taking care of shipping at the warehouse.

Parcels does not shy away from abundance. The Australian quintet's songs often feature a myriad of guitars, rivaling piano and synths, slinky bass lines, pulsing drums and four (yes, four) vocalists. But the group opens its Tiny Desk concert with a secret weapon: hauntingly bare harmonies, backed only by gentle keys and guitar, that transform a snippet of the irresistibly catchy "Leaveyourlove" into a solemn oath of devotion.
I'm losing my shit why's my parcel not arriving yet
is the gold wing that Orpheus is wearing on his shoulder in the anniversary drawing the same one you draw Minthe with?
🥹❕ yeas ... ! very good eye...
Their outfits each borrow something from each other for the occasion:
Orph uses the wing fastener to hold his sash in place, as well as to match the wing motif of Minthe's formal wear wing cuffs,
And Minthe in turn uses the cords Orph wraps around his wrists as an accessory for their exposed leg, as well as to match the green of his sash
