I’m not stereotyping you in particular, Lillian, but put yourself in my place. Would you be thrilled by the idea of strangers, let alone pirates, practically living with you? 

Is it such a hard concept to grasp that people change? No one in the crew has done anything since we've docked, and yet it seems as if most people think we have ulterior motives. You might not be judging me directly, but by judging my family, you're judging me.

I’d like to be able to judge that myself.

After twenty years of living on a pirate ship, I like to think I know what I'm talking about. But suit yourself.

Dahlia, I'm not a pirate. I'm the daughter of one. I love the sea, truly, I do, but I have never feel like I belong on that ship. Galendan might not be home, but it most definitely feels like it. 

You’ve grown up with them, alongside them, surrounded with their ideals. What makes destroying my home and killings hundreds worth the survival of a few? Was everything that happened necessary? You know, I see you’re surviving well - how many towns and villages did you need to burn down and pillage to get where you are now?

Please. Just because I've grown up with them doesn't make me like them. I'm the captain's daughter. I've never had to do anything violent to survive. I don't ever plan on doing anything of the kind, not that my father would allow it, regardless.

No…it’s not, but it’s not home. I’m surprised as the Captain’s daughter, you would so easily forget the life of the sea.

I have not forgotten it... I just feel like I belong here. Despite the prejudice, I feel at home.
