Kenma had been invited to a pretty big convention this year, which was just a month after your Brazil trip together, where you’d hard-launched your relationship on his livestream. The feedback had been almost all positive! There was an occasional jealous user who would say things like

“He could do better..”

But you didn’t mind those. You knew your love would never listen to those comments. He sure reminded you and his viewers of it every day.

Kenma? Well, he was ecstatic, not only could he talk his head off about you two on stream, but he could also do those cute and wholesome collab games he’d always wanted but never could play on stream because they were too cutesy or just not up to par for the rest of his non-gamer friends. (Kuroo did in fact, say no to playing “Two player Roblox obby” on stream with him. Wish I could say he wasn’t disappointed)

After the publication of your relationship, Kenma also gained a bit more of a following, and so did you! Needless to say, your fans ate it up. They made your ship names and fan art already, it was all over the TL for weeks! You did in fact do that QnA stream, which had viewers left in shock, tears, and highkey-jealousy, of your “perfect” love story.

Of course, it wasn’t entirely that to you. It wasn’t some manhwa-type inspired beat, too fictional to be true. It was very natural, very human. But of course that was perfect for you two, and therefore, it was for Kenma’s fans as well.

Now, Kenma had been streaming for about 4 years now, he’d gotten offers to plenty of conventions in the past, Twitchcon, Vidcon, Tokyo Game Expo; he’d do panels, meet and greets, and enjoy the free travel perks from sponsors!

This year, he’s been invited to a huge upcoming convention for streamers, vtubers, and content creators. It was a bit lesser known, but it blew up more than any of the previous ones, mostly because it catered to all platforms and streamers. While most of them were super exclusive to either the platform you streamed on or the type of things you make content about, this huge event gathered all kinds of people, from game streamers to sports content creators. It turns out, quite a few of his friends were actually also invited due to their presence on social media, Hinata and Oikawa in Brazil were flying out to the convention, which was conveniently placed, right in the heart of Japan itself, Kyoto! Even though it was a global event, it was just Kenma’s luck that the location didn’t require a 10+ hour flight.

Though, he will admit, that 15-hour flight was pretty cozy with your shoulder to lie on..

After the announcement was made, as per popular request, you were tagging along as well!

Kenma eagerly agreed and ended up securing you a pass with him, as you two started planning, he couldn’t help but be filled with such gratitude that you, the love of his life, supported him so much. You actually wanted to do these things with him, and the best part is you actually wanted him.

That would never change.

Little did he know, you had actually reached out to one of his fans you knew worked on his clothing merchandise, you communicated with them in the weeks leading up to a special surprise to hopefully catch him off guard during the stream…

The con was 3 days long, on the first day, Kenma was going to be doing two panels, one in the evening, and one at the after-dark exhibits. He’d be taking this day to stream and do the most walking around during the day.

In the few weeks leading up to the con, he had taught you how to work his portable webcams, Twitch chat, and whatever else he needed to be walking around and doing a livestream at the same time. It was a lot, but you had volunteered after all!

The second and third days were mostly reserved for meet and greets, so less streaming.

You packed mostly comfortable and breathable outfits, for all the walking Kenma had warned you of, along with a few pieces of his merch!

The train from Tokyo to the Kyoto area where the convention centre was located was only 2 and a half hours, give or take. Again, you and Ken just fell asleep on each other on the trip there.. Sometimes air and train travel meant catching up on rest and cuddles. (Maybe not in the most comfortable way)

So now it’s the very day of the convention, truthfully, you were just a bit nervous, because this was your first huge expo event you’d ever been to. Kenma was sure to give you tons of reassurance and kisses, promising he’d be there quite literally the whole time.

(Reading *some* of the comments about you, he wasn’t sure he wanted to leave your side with his fans with the Kumazens running around just to... be cautious…)

Either way, you were still excited, nonetheless. You’d dressed in whatever comfortable bottoms and an official “Kodzuken” hoodie, because you gotta rep the brand!

“It’s nice to see you wearing my name, everyone will know you’re mine, I guess,” Kenma smirked a bit too casually, he knew what he was doing.

“Not like they wouldn’t know from the various posts in your community and clips of me kissing you live on stream, you’re funny…” You tease back while packing the last stuff into your bag, the two of you finally ready to leave the hotel room.

The hotel on site was a very nice convenience!

As you stepped inside the venue, it practically glowed with bright booths, clamoring streamers, rooms lined along hallways for various panels and events, it was extraordinary. The place was packed, every few steps you could see another person holding a camera in a group, live-streaming, or a person holding up a tablet with a virtual model. You barely stepped in and you saw Kodzuken merch!

“Babe, I have to buy ALL OF IT.” You turn to him, excitedly pointing towards a little acrylic keychain of his mascot, in which the artist in the booth immediately shot up with excitement,

“H..hi! I’m actually a huge fan of both of you— I was hoping you stopped by because I made you two a gift bag…” The younger girl hands Kenma a small bag with a ribbon at the top, which you two graciously thank the artist for, still offering to pay for two of the keychain charms.

This wasn’t the first time this instance occurred, actually, you two got plenty of free fan-made merch from followers, a few of them genuinely being bigger fans of you than Kenma, which only made him laugh a bit.

By the time you’d walked probably only a quarter of the convention, you and Kenma stepped to the side to set up his handheld camera, to go..

The two of you greeted his audience, quick to hop online and say hello, and ask about the con,

After taking the chat around for a while, it was time to set your plan into action.

“Ken.. I’m gonna go find the bathroom. I’ll meet you around this area, okay?” You casually drop, before scurrying away,

“As I was saying, the panel…” He continued. You heard his ramblings slowly drift as you made your way into the crowd, looking for the booth where you planned to meet the artist. Kenma was pretty much oblivious to the fact that you’d purposely steered him away from her.

“Here it is, D34!”

The booth owner quickly came out and you greeted each other with hugs, chatting for a very short second before they grabbed a bag of your goodies, you quickly nodded, giving your thanks, and ran to the bathroom to change.

What you had commissioned was Kenma’s mascot, and now your custom mascot in a cute matching outfit with “[insert the ship name]” your fans had thought of. It was a simple, extremely cute shirt, but you knew Kenma would love it! You got changed into a different skirt and shoved your extra clothes into the bag.

After running back through the crowds, you finally got back you found Kenma at another booth, nodding and holding up his own camera while shaking the hand of one of the artists behind the small table.

Surely if you came from behind, he’d see you on his webcam.. Ah! You could duck down and try to jump at him from the side! That’s perfect!

Just being sneaky.. weaving through the crowd.. aaand—

“Babe if you wanted to be under me you could have waited, sure it isn’t the tim—“

His playful smirk dropped as his demeanor changed, now completely awestruck by your change of outfit and adorable shocked face. You took this opportunity to shoot up and kiss him on the cheek, in which some passerby (as well as the artist behind the booth) made “ooo”’s and whistles, his fans watching the livestream already aware of your playful antics together practically dying in the chat, he turns toward the webcams in a perfectly timed bit, your lipstick staining his cheek just a bit,

“C—chat clip that! Clip that now— get that— H..hi~”

You laugh at his swooned expression and watch the chat roll quickly,

“T..this fit it’s—“ He clears his throat softly and attempts to avoid your teasing gaze, more admiring your body and outfit, with cute new shirt especially,

“It’s really r-really nice I—I didn’t plan this… merch I’m not..”

“You didn’t. I did. I worked with your artist to get it made just for us~”

You laugh at his flustered attempt at a compliment, knowing damn well his thoughts were racing,

“Do you like it?” You question softly, leaning against him,

“M—mhm…”

Kenma was pretty much a mess the rest of the 2-hour stream as you two walked around, you could see him catching glances at you every few minutes, it was adorable.

Even though you had only changed your outfit, maybe did your hair a bit neater, and teased him a bit, it was enough for this man to fold…

You, his chat, and he knew, he’d always be the most down-bad sucker for you.
