“It sounds like you’ve got this all figured out, so tell me why exactly haven’t you put yourself forward for leadership.”  He wouldn’t have been the worst candidate, she might have even considered voting for him.

“I’d rather advise than lead, given the opportunity. And I don’t feel I have all that much experience in the field.” He said. Honestly leading a revolution was a lot more difficult than you’d think. He had his opinions, but in practice, he couldn’t imagine he’d be the best person for the job. “Plus, it would add more competition and ensure we don’t get things done for even longer.” 

“Honestly? Nope.” She replied popping the ‘p’ as she gave him a smirk. “I’m bored and luckily for you I’ve picked you to provide me with some entertainment.” The redhead gave the male a grin. “Well… go on, entertain me.”  

Matthias raised a brow at the new addition to the room. “I’ll consider myself blessed.” He said, turning back to the paper. “How do you suppose I do that?” 

“It’s called being smart Zabini, we don’t exactly have as much power at the moment with the Dark Lord missing and his followers without leadership.” Alecto glanced down at her nails to inspect them, as if bored with the conversation already. “Of course, the other side aren’t much better but they’re better at blending in and hiding to protect themselves. I don’t know about you but I would rather not end up being imprisoned or dead.”

“It isn’t exactly being smart if we’re not gathering our resources and instead letting people do what they like.” Before the Dark Lord’s disappearance, they’d had a reasonable position. Now, he didn’t think that was as much the case. “I’m not saying you outright claim your allegiance, but being civil with people who don’t matter in the grand scheme of things is a little far.”
