“Well well well, what do we have here?”

The grocery bags floating alongside her were rivaled only by the bags under her eyes- long shifts followed by marathon study sessions were taking a toll on her sleep schedule (hardly taking into account the nights of tossing and turning from the stress). If it was easy to become a Healer, then everyone would be doing it, Lily reasoned. She hardly noticed a rogue parcel had whacked into a passerby. “Sorry about that,” she offered weakly, “long week.”

“What? Why are you staring at me like that?”

This was absolutely ridiculous.  Remus had only just gotten this cat, and already, he’d lost it. “Socks,” Remus called, nearly running into the person heading the opposite way down the corridor.  “Nope. You aren’t a cat.”

“     The lack of intelligence around here is starting to worry me.” Alecto mused, her eyebrows fusing together to support her feigning concern, “How are we supposed to be a future thriving generation, when we are a dying breed? I sure have my work cut out for me when it comes to being civil with these brainless mudbloods. “
