I don’t know where the strength went, I don’t remember losing it. I think that over time it got chipped away, bit by bit, by life, by the living of it.

There are times in which we give our love wholly to the wrong person and there are times in which we give no love to the right person. And there are instances in which we give our love wholly to the right person but there was no time for love to foster. And, in those instances, lessons are birthed. Lessons that are painful but ones that a person must endure. To me, you were that instance. You were that painful lesson.

There are things in life you need to give up just to be happy again.

I miss you a little extra tonight.. come lay with me.

It all ends in tears anyway.

My wish for you is that you continue. Continue to be who and how you are, to astonish a mean world with your acts of kindness. Continue to allow humor to lighten the burden of your tender heart.

I put on an act sometimes, and people think I’m insensitive. Really, it’s like a kind of armour because I’m too sensitive.

Everything is about timing and I’m always either too early or too late.
