Sometimes it seems mysterious how two such different young girls as Croix and Chariot could be friends at all, but the truth is that at their core, they were equally self-destructive. No ordinary girls go on adventures or get into trouble here and there unless they're willing to ignore the rules and regulations and everything society has to say about it. When they meet as adults, Croix is already desperate and pushed to the limit, while Chariot has just found hope, which she fears because what if things don't go as planned? And everything goes wrong, because there's always Croix, who can't stay away from Chariot unless she's chained to a ten-year plan that tells her it's not the right time. But in the end, won't she show them all? In the end, won't she direct her resentment and pain right at the person who hurt her?
An adult Chariot is a fist aimed at your face. It seems that her life has shaken her, and all her inner rage has come out in her desire to protect, and now Croix has no choice but to listen. Croix will be hung on a hook above the door for her fancy cloak and reprimanded like a cat that has brought dirt into the house.
