“Well I’ve already done the checking out. What’ll it take to get you home with me now?”

“Fine.”

“I’m not even being loud, miss.”

“That much is obvious.”

“Must you be so unhelpful just because you think you’re clever?”

“But they’re so much fun to be fans of! Have you ever been to a match when the Cannons score? The crowd goes mad!”

“Can’t say that I have. I’ve only been to the matches they play against Puddlemere.”

“Playing fair and trying holds weight with me. Not all teams are like that.”

“Teams that cheat are frustrating, yes.”

“I guess… It has lots of corridors, and such. Easy to get lost in if you haven’t been taught it. Why were you there?”

“Oh, just boring immigration stuff. Nothing interesting.”

I’m waiting in queue. It looks like you’ll just have to deal.

“Yeah?” Doc responded, leaning in closer. “And here I thought you came to the library to read.”

“I was going to check it out and take it with me, really.”

“You do look rather heavy.”

“And to think, I was just about to invite you back to my place before you started insulting me.”

I prefer curious. 

“Well, I prefer you be curious elsewhere.”

“I’ll let you down just as soon as you think I wont.”

“Who says I’m looking for someone to hold me up? I do that plenty well on my own. I fly on a daily basis, after all.”

“How? Oh, wait. The wizard thing. That doesn’t make a difference! I’d be a Cannons fan even if I didn’t grow up one.”

“They’re just... So bad. Lovely people, the lot of them. But bad at quidditch.”

“Oh you shouldn’t trust me at all.”

“And why’s that?”

“Hum, pardon me, but, if you two are about to fight, would you mind if you do such… Outside? You’ll scare off the clients.”

“It’s not an argument, it’s a statement of fact.”

“Oh,” Regulus’ eyebrows furrowed together. “That’s – Nice?” He wasn’t used to compliments from anyone, so he wasn’t entirely sure of how to handle the attention. “Did you… Should I get you a drink?”

“Or I could get you one. I’m Zoe, by the way. And you are?” she asked, heading towards the bar.

“Absolutely, you’ve caught me. Here I was, in this here library, reading up on ways to cleanse the earth of scum.”

“I’m not a Death Eater. I’m bitter, and sarcastic, and sometimes angry–but I’m not delusional.”

“That’s good to know. It’s hard to trust people these days.”
