I started off wanting to redraw the background from scratch, but then I just didn’t have the energy for it. So, I kept it simple: just edited the photo and drew the character on top, then blended it all together during post-processing. I found the image on Google Maps.

It’s a drawing technique and an exercise in which you draw the contour of an object without really looking at the paper. Unlike strict blind contour drawing (where you never look at the paper and never lift your pen from the surface) this method allows you to lift your pen, reposition it, and briefly glance at your paper to check proportions or alignment.

There’s no need to analyse the object or roughly sketch it out — simply follow its contours with your eyes, and the pencil, pen or other tool in your hand should repeat those lines on the paper as you track them.

So, I tried out a technique called 'modified contour drawing', and it turned out so cool! I've always wanted to achieve this style ✧٩(•́⌄•́๑)و ✧
