but i think some of you should be aware that seeing people complaining every month about the current fics can feel pretty demoralizing for those of us that are still contributing (or trying to contribute) quality fics, even if you’re not necessarily talking about our works.

we saw this with the last discourse- it makes authors second guess ourselves and what we’re putting out, and when we’re already fighting against the ai assholes this doesn’t exactly make people want to write and contribute so… maybe keep that in mind.

It is very discouraging to see how "common" AI use has become. Some of my favorite writers spend months crafting plots, writing drafts and editing only to see the space dominated by people churning out thousands of words in the matter of a few days. If you are also like me, a reader who doesn't write, your duty is to avoid engaging with these works. If you don't give them attention, they will not be able to continue abusing this space in this manner.

and to all the wonderful writers on here, please don't let this disturbing pattern discourage you. keep sharing your magic into the world. your versions of lestappen are what keep our fandom together between long breaks and tough droughts.

At the time, over a year and a half ago, Lestappen stories were less than half what they are now.

In the meantime, me and others were plagiarized by a "writer" who used a tentative friendship to steal my time, creativity, and The Invitation (co-written with Randomwordsonpaper), as well as the ideas for the camboys fic (the everyone watchin' us verse) and my vampire fic (sink your teeth) (which are two plots I loved, and after that I lost the desire to write the sequels, at least for now). Now, the person who did this (callumsgirl, tadejsgirl, pitlanelover, madameleclerc, and possibly many other names she uses to trick other writers) is now posting stories written in AI. As I mentioned to @33-16, there's so much AI stuff that now we always wonder if a new writer is just good and decent, or if they're AI.

With all this AI stuff, from SEVERAL writers lately, posting any of our stories is difficult, because even for us, being among these people is uncomfortable. It's really sad to see what the F1 fandom has become, and at what cost? Ego? FUCKING HELLLL, writing stories should be an escape zone, our happy bubble, not a cock-measuring contest!!!

Are there ideas I would be happy to read? Yes. Thats why there are fandom events where people can submit prompts. As a reader its the greatest feeling when someone picks my idea and takes time out of their day to write it. Putting the idea in ai would eliminate the joy of reading.

Lewis pls have some shame Max was dragged through it and is constantly dragging through the shit by the British media😭😭 Sounds like jealousy that Max team adore him and Lewis cannot seem to get that in a team, screams more about Lewis’s attitude and using the team bond to fill his own ego and socials.

This tweet perfectly showcases my problems with Checo. At some point its time to stop pointing fingers, and realise that maybe its time to retire.

I don't need or want him to 'get angry'. I want him to keep doing what he is doing, keeping calm and getting as much as he can out of the car when the weekends are tough and working towards figuring out the car set up and helping get it in a place where he can can be competitive. We know he has been working with the team, he is giving it his all.

Based purely on the car he should not be leading, he has worked wonders this year to give himself a fighting chance. He should be celebrated for even being in the lead in the first place. I know if he had the fastest car on the grid he would have almost had the championship tied up by now.

Mercedes didn't speak a word when other rumors of "wonderboy beating A/B/C" surfaced and was spread by those ehhh reliable news account 🥴🥴 but then the smartest corriere dello sport decides to drag George, the official driver of the team and 💥💥💥. It's joever.

They could've at least not brought George up and could live with their generational delusion but they decide to bring George to the convo, defame him and throw direct personal attacks on him. Mercedes is NOT happy. For someone, whose PR works is basically one of the worst out of other F1 teams, to be clarifying these things twice? Yeah they are not happy. Especially if you read Shovlin's part? That's sarcastic as hell. The tone of his speech does not scream 💗 friendly 💗

This kind of running to the press and making up shit behaviour doesnt really work for established f1 drivers (Carlos) for getting a seat. It especially wont help a junior driver. Do they not realise that this does not show him in good light? Toto and and Deimer and a board wont be convinced by a few italian articles. But they will see it as a potencial driver already throwing fake rumors and undermineing his (hopefully) future teammate.
