honestly what isnt going on with marc and vale

honestly if there’s someone who could make the jump to motogp with all these other things going on concurrently and be fine, david is on that list. and i don’t necessarily think he can’t succeed in that situation it’s more that i don’t love that it’s seen as a given that he should be on a factory team as a rookie. less commentary on him, and more frustration with 1) honda for potentially putting him in a situation tailored to set him back physically or mentally and 2) journalists taking a binary approach of is he good enough for it or not. like, to me, instead of if he’s good enough or not, the question should be what’s our long term goal with this kid and what’s the best way to get a return on this investment. i’m not sure that would change the ultimate outcome, but i think it’s the smarter way to approach it. honda knows theyre not fighting for anything next year, why is it crazy to think it might be a good idea to take some of the spotlight off of david and let him have all factory everything at lcr and have that year of learning. again mostly irritated at journalists on this one
