Welcome to the Shit Show

I like that he we didn’t know he was trans until the end. Because we fell in love with his character and not his gender or sexuality. I’m not saying it would be bad if he had known since the start, but I think it was a great choice to not have his gender be the root of his ‘character’ or the centre of attention regarding him. In many new tv shows and movies that is about lgbtq+ we see a lot of characters coming out or figuring where they fall under the queer umbrella. I know those are important for the community too and important for the people that also have been or will be in a situation like that. And while that is great, I think just letting a character be a part of the lgbtq+ community, but not making a deal out of it will also normalise and make people accept the community more.

Becuse think of those that are still prejudiced against the lgbtq+ community and watches japan sinks 2020. They like Kite as a character becuse they relate to him. And then at the end, they are surprised to see that Kite wasn’t entirely as they though he was; but still likes him regardless of his gender or sexuality.
