before the world was even aware of it, zoro had already viewed luffy as a being higher than any gods out there. and it's so endearing when you also think abt the fact that while he had this mindset the entire time, he also willingly labeled himself as a demon/king of hell to match luffy's ascension, essentially making that god/demon and god/sinner trope canon.

that's the beauty of zolu, fanfics and fanarts only needed to add little bc the ship is already so good. we literally have almost everything most ships wished to see in theirs; we have the matching scars at the exact same place like some soulmates au, shameless declaration of promises of devotion that suspiciously sounded like wedding vows, we even have that "jump right in his arms and hug" on a literal episode. hell, we fckin' have that "the world had more colors when I met you" and that "his image reflect in your eye" become a thing.

Every few months, Sanji has an emotional crisis where he decides he's not worthy of love and Luffy just lmaos past it every time
