she is like all the sugary ,   bubblegum sweetness of the world ,   spun into a cotton candy paper cone and delivered into the hands of a smiling child .          delight is apparent in the catlike curl of her mouth ,   mirror image to her elder brother’s .     wide blue eyes peer up ,   excitedly seeking approval from killua …     waiting ,   waiting ,   waiting …     and it is received !

“     one pat for alluka   ——     ”          he announces ,   and just as promised ,   the comforting presence of her elder brother’s calloused hand is brought against the top of alluka’s head !     she sighs in content ,   and just when she thought it couldn’t get any better   ——          “     and one pat for nanika !     ”

a cloud of darkness settles over the two of them ,   the familiarity of nanika’s return .     alluka’s features melt and dissolve into what becomes nanika’s pleased expression ,   a warm smile as she giggles and leans her head against killua’s hand .         “     we love you ,   killua .     ”
