Production scraps from a large format print “Fragments” 24″ x 36″- completed Jan 27.

A collection of digital debris - fragmented simulacra which suggest a deep and ancient digital materiality.

Inspired by ideas of reality as simulation and Panspermia theory. Panspermia postulates that life originated elsewhere in the universe and that it is common. With this comes the realization that life in other galaxies would resemble our own - governed by the same iterative and temporal laws - elegantly described within the programmatic language of simulation and perfectly embodied by the form of a shell.

Friday night I’m showing a few large format prints at @creativecoworkers - a co-working space in rail town owned/operated by my friend Denise. Opening is at 8pm - and will be up for ~month. The theme is "Artifact" - put together with @eli_muro, @laine_butler and @whichnancy of @chapelsound.
