When Ksoo is talking to Xiumin, you clearly hear a person speaking "HYUNG". Some said it was not j, but to me it's clear that it's his voice. That is, they were together. That's why when I arrived at Xiumin's apartment, he barely complied with Ks.
I finally watched the episode. Short analysis time
1. ks is probably at home when xm called him because he knew xm is buying groceries meaning he knew the plan for the day. ks went to xm house pretty early into the day to to cook so he probably didnt go out and was just chilling at his place/home waiting to head to xm’s. Also while we can hear the scattered sounds of xm’s grocery store, ks’ phone calls sound relatively free of street noise.
2. so if hes at his home in the morning why is someone with him? maybe that person is just hanging out with ks early im the morning for no reason :) or maybe he lives with him idk :)
3. that person said ‘hyung.’ which means he has to be younger than him. As a fan we all know ks doesn’t have a lot of close younger friends, and most of his friends e.g ekso, actor friends are all older than him. and assuming he only allow good friends to visit his home early in the morning :) it could only be osh or ji
4. People’s selective hearing deny that its ji, but if i present to you that the highest chance of whoever was with ks is either ji or osh, it has to be ji because by elimination, that voice is def not osh’s. (and osh came with pcy much later osh probs doing his own stuff)
5. why else would i say ji is always with ks? well ji is one of the members who didnt say ‘long time no see!!’ to ks. when you’d expect him to, bc hes clingy to ks most if the time.
6. ji wordlessly greeted ks by patting his butt. He didnt need to say a greeting when they just saw each other at home right, he simply let ks know that ‘yo *pat butts* i arrived’
7. Ji also stayed quiet when EVERYONE else complimented ks’ cooking when he usually could NEVER STOP praising delicious food in general. Why? its simple. bc he always eat ks’ food. (he probs smug) but when pcy cooked tteobokki, he couldn’t stop praising ‘its delicious its delicious!!’ bc he’s surprised at pcy’s skill since he rarely eat his cooking.
