i think what truly angers me, even more than the straights speed bullshit per se, is all the consequences of not speaking up clearly about it from the start, and not letting him speak up. it's not something i feel like excluding entirely, since there has been at least some time when he did think it was the car, and not him. except that they went as far as gaslighting him about it– and it is particularly horrible to me, because it undermines his very confidence and the capacity of finding the feeling with the car, even make it harder to adapt and to find a way around those problems, too, dragging into some overthinking, self-fulfilled prophecy vicious cycle. i think i will be haunted forever by toto cutting him off before he could even start addressing the nature of the issue, at the end of silverstone. to me, this counts as sabotage even more than the technical issue does.
