So it turns out the song Tyler sang is actually one of Josh’s favorite songs, and it was one of the first CDs he ever bought because he loved that song that much. How am I supposed to not make everything about Joshler when EVERYTHING is about Joshler???😭😭

I absolutely hate it when people push the narrative that Tyler is some poor guy with unrequited feelings for his best friend. Please. 🙄

People act like Tyler is endlessly suffering over Josh when there’s an entire lore and multiple songs that point in the exact opposite direction. That TikTok annoyed me so much because I can’t stand this idea that Tyler is the only one who feels anything. And then there were all those people getting mad because Jenna was excluded from the conversation, lol. “So Josh is the bi king but Tyler is the gay one?” Hahaha

People will never admit it, but Josh’s relationship with Debby has always looked different from the way Tyler presented his relationship with Jenna. It’s completely normal for people to perceive those relationships differently, because Tyler has often come across as more distant with Jenna.

What makes it even more noticeable is that he’s always seemed like the complete opposite with Josh. So of course people are going to notice that huge contrast. You don’t need to get offended on Jenna’s behalf because of that. If anything, you should be annoyed with Tyler for never being particularly good at coming across as a husband who’s head-over-heels in love with his wife.

That subreddit is pretty anti-Joshler and has a lot of Christians, so I just find it funny and kind of interesting that they immediately ignored and pretended the whole thing never happened on the very first festival day. But this song gets posted? I think even they were confused by Tyler and decided it was safer to ignore it so nobody would start talking about Joshler, because there’s just no way to avoid that conversation when Everytime We Touch comes up.

How is it possible for someone to be so fond of another person and genuinely love everything they do? He must have been thrilled that Josh agreed to do that duet with him, and especially on that song, just so he could stand there and listen to Josh sing “I want you.”

But I swear, every time I see that part where Tyler stops singing, closes his eyes, and starts smiling while listening to Josh, I want to die.

How does this fandom still act like Joshler isn’t real? . that song, combined with what Josh said about only getting caught if they wanted to be, was basically confirmation. I don’t understand how people still treat it as a “maybe, possibly” kind of thing when it’s staring everyone in the face at this point.

There’s just no other explanation for him choosing to sing Everytime We Touch for Josh. And if it had happened during some random part of the show, people could at least argue that it had nothing to do with Josh. But he picked the one moment of the show where it’s impossible to pretend he wasn’t singing it directly to him.

Especially because he had already sung The Climb while Josh was climbing, which at least made sense as a fun little moment since the song matched what Josh was physically doing. And then, out of nowhere, at another show, he starts singing a romantic song during that same section — a song that has absolutely nothing to do with what Josh is doing on stage? And on top of that, he heavily implies that it was for Josh’s birthday?And people still don’t see that as confirmation? The song isn’t even ambiguous. It’s 100% romantic. What other reason would there be to sit down at the piano and start singing a love song in that specific moment if not to make some kind of implicit declaration?

What is the alternative explanation, honestly?

Meanwhile, he’s the one stopping right next to the flag. These festival stages are huge, he could easily just keep walking and pretend he never saw it. Instead, he stops nearby and keeps singing in that area, fully aware that the camera is probably going to pick it up.And people want to say he’s uncomfortable? Him? The same guy who posted an edit of his best friend proposing to him on his feed? The idea of projecting discomfort onto the person who encourages the shippers the most is honestly hilarious.

People act like Joshler is the same as other RPF ships where the people involved clearly don’t like it. This fandom is so unbelievably spineless, so chicken. Everyone seems to be competing to prove who’s the most morally correct, constantly trying to signal how responsible and superior they are, and living in fear of… honestly, I’m not even sure what.

They want to talk about Joshler, but they still feel the need to bring the wives into it every single time. For example: “Tyler and Debby are so lucky.” Stuff like that. 😭 They want to acknowledge the most basic Joshler dynamics, but they’re terrified of taking it too far or sounding too serious. They’re constantly holding themselves back.

I feel like by July 2026, after everything that’s happened, it’s pretty obvious that there’s something going on between them. And yet this fandom still acts like it’s all one big joke and refuses to take any of it that seriously. If the things that happen with Joshler were happening in other fandoms, the shippers would absolutely lose their minds, and there would probably be a general consensus that something was going on. But instead, what I see most often is people insisting on calling them “platonic soulmates.”

LITERALLY,,,,,, the main instigators of the joshler allegations have ALWAYS BEEN tyler and josh themselves, they have been actively aware of it since the beginning and they have ALWAYS given it their blessing. if joshler made either of them "uncomfortable" they wouldn't have spent the last decade talking about kissing each other in interviews. tyler could easily move past the flag if he wanted to, BUT HE DOESN'T, because it doesn't bother him AND HE IS IN ON IT. they always have been.

Re: Lane Boy/Lavish

EXACTLY!!! Lane Boy and Lavish are just so!!! Like, clearly the same story is being told, they're about conformity and the music industry (though really any type of industry could be put into this place, music and entertainmentare just the most relevant), and weighing your desires to be be known vs the desire to be successful. Laneboy is so angry but also very petulant, like the POV is clearly someone fighting to become relevant but knowing they have to "sellout" in some ways in order to make it big in the situation. And as you said, the song fits sonically with the rest of Blurryface even though the lyrics talk about how even they aren't these most thrilled of the direct of some of the songs "There's a few songs on this record that feel common. I'm in constant confrontation with what I want and what is poppin'" and how if they had it their way they'd "have a tempo change every other time change". And overall just very aggressive in a way that clearly feels like this fight for autonomy. Also not to get to big into it but the use of the word boy in the song and the negative connotation with it being uses as a way to push down on someone especially black men to make them lesser and if we open that can of worms we would then have to start deconstructing the co-opting of black culture and music especially in BF and that is not actually a conversation I am qualified to have. Anyways.

Lavish on the other hand, especially when you only look at the surface lyrically and watch the music video (dressed up in suits and ties and riding around in a limo), it feels like, oh look another person sold out their dreams to fit into this lavish lifestyle, but there are constant reminders that, no, while we've put on the set dressings of being these stars and are living this lavish life, thats all it is, set dressing, play pretend. "Sipping Capri sun like its Don Perignon" and one that really stands out to me is the line about the shoes, "Got that penny loafer squeak cross linoleum" Those are new shoes, which could be a sign that oh you've got money you're buying new things to fit in, but that is just to fit in. Theres also the line earlier in the song, "If your feet are hurting and thats when you'll know you brought the right equipment to put on a show" if we follow shoe metaphors we once again have making yourself trying to fit into something new, maybe in something that isnt your size, or something that sacrifices comfort of appearance like a lot of luxury brands do, and this is coming from the guys who wear vans and sneakers on stage. But it also hints at the fact that you're having to put in the work and it may be uncomfortable at times. Obviously concessions have been made, they clearly got to this place by playing the game and fitting themselves into a mold, but they've reached a point and made a space where they no longer have to fit into the tight constraints of what the industry and fame wants of them.

I probably have more to say, but this has already gotten so long. So yeah. Lane Boy and Lavish are about finding your place in the music industry and the concession that have to be made, but Lane Boy is at the beginning of the journey and trying to fight against the bonds in the most obvious way as a form of rebellion while Lavish is comfortable in its place and has carved out a space for itself where it doesn't need to prove itself but goes along with some of the pomp and circumstance to have fun with it. Though there is still the proctologist line which I get the joke about being fucked over so not sure where exactly this fits in with the reading but yeah.

no bc like. being told to find a niche and stick with it in lane boy, to literally find a lane and stay in it, and lavish being so outside the usual sound we've come to expect from twenty one pilots.

the rebellious anger of lane boy "they say stay in your lane, boy/but we go where we want to" while still sounding very much like a twenty one pilots song, and not being out of place sonically, vs the more confident, surefooted energy of lavish, while it sounds like almost nothing else twenty one pilots has ever made, a more true to form version of lane boy, being so far outside of their usual lane, yet not feeling the need to comment on that fact within the song itself.

He didn’t like the Halloween post either, and after that he got on Instagram to promote the movie, so he easily could’ve gone to her profile and liked it, but whatever, that’s just one post. But now he didn’t even like the cute Father’s Day post? That’s the one he chooses to ignore?

If she wasn’t tagging him, you could at least argue that maybe he just didn’t see it. But she always tags him, so what would it cost him to tap the like button real quick? It’s not like he never opens Instagram. If your wife tags you in a post, the least you can do is like it , it takes one second. You don’t even have to be on Instagram for that — the notification will pop up. 😭 I kind of want Jenna to make another feed post just to see if he still doesn’t like it. 🤔

it really is interesting, and like, given the tone of some of the stuff on the band's account,,, that's tyler writing, and it takes like, two button presses to switch between instagram accounts. so the fact that he's stopped liking jenna's stuff feels even more deliberate.
