I have a cat named Sigil! She's a beautiful black cat with yellow eyes! She's a rescue :)
She's 1 year old now!
I also have a dog named Cujo! He's an adorable Saint Bernard, and he's a little puppy, I got him a few days ago from an abusive home, he's less than a year old, he's the dog in my pfp btw!

Zephyr POV.
Technically also third person POV.
"You should have died long ago, you pest."
Those were the last words Zephyr heard spoken to him from the one he thought were a friend.
God he can't breathe. He could feel the blood pouring out from his throat as he put his hand over the wound, choking on every breath as blood poured from the cut in his throat. He couldn't breathe.
The weapon lay next to him, the weapon his closest friend had just slit his throat with.
He could feel himself lose consciousness as he passed out from the blood loss. He could feel the rough texture against his cheek. He felt his head hit the side of the building he was next to in the alleyway.
He wasn't sure he'd wake up again. He wasn't sure he wanted to.
He'd ran away from home, where he's sure he can't return.
He'd just lost his closest, and only, friend, who'd just slit his throat.
And he'd have to deal with Crime Alley alone, Crime Alley eats up the kids who're alone. Which he was alone now. He was alone again. And he isn't sure he can live with that.
Unfortunately, he did wake up again.
But not where he was before, he was in a hospital bed, in a hospital gown.
Fucking hell, he can't afford medical bills! He couldn't even afford food! And then there's the cops, the cops probably know he's here...and they probably know he's stolen before..
..He's fucked.
Utterly fucked.
Then he hears the door opening, fuck- someone's coming in-
Well, he can't play dead. There's a damn heart monitor or whatever they're called. And he can't exactly slow down his heartbeat. He's just some random kid who ran from home, not some Bat or ninja.
So he just has to see who it is, and hope it isn't some doctor trying to charge him, or the cops trying to arrest him the second he's better.
But no. It's Batman.
Oh Zephyr's even more fucked.
Zephyr sucks in a breath, before he feels blood bubbling up in his throat.
Then the blood started spilling out of his mouth as he coughed it out.
He heard someone shouting for the doctor before he can't hear anything again, as he goes unconscious for the second time now.
Zephyr wakes up again, still at the hospital.
But now there's someone else in the room when he wakes up.
Not Batman.
Nightwing.
Passed out in a chair in the corner of the hospital room.
Zephyr jolts up when he wakes this time--when he'd passed out, he was having a nightmare, about if he stayed with his father.
Zephyr could tell Nightwing had been asleep for a while. He just knows. Crime Alley street kid instincts, or whatever.
He isn't even sure he counts as a Crime Alley street kid if he's only been on the streets for like, a year--technically, he's basically been staying on the streets since he was 2 (4 years ago), since he'd stay out on the streets for as long as he was with his father (ever since his mother died).
Then he puts his hand to his throat, it was stitched up.
Then he pretended to go to sleep, he couldn't slow his heartbeat, but it could just be explained as his fight or flight (more accurately fight, flight, freeze, or fawn) from a nightmare, or something. Anyways, he's good at pretending to sleep, he did it a lot around his dad.
Why did he pretend to sleep? Because he could see Nightwing waking up.
He heard Nightwing get up, walk over, then sigh, and leave.
Then the door opened again a minute later.
He heard heavy footsteps, familiar footsteps.
Red Hood.
The only vigilante Zephyr trusted. Because Hood protects Crime Alley. Hood's helped Zephyr before, because Hood helps all of the Alley kids. Zephyr's not special.
Zephyr continued to pretend to sleep, before actually falling asleep, unfortunately, due to Zephyr's annoying body; he woke up again almost immediately because his body somehow made him feel like he had just been hit, so he jolted up, panicking.
Ok, that's all you get!
I wrote this from 3AM to 4AM. And it could be better. But it's not :(
