Ava admires Adelle and is eager to write an article about her, as she believes it will be a huge hit since she considers herself Adelle’s No. 1 fan. Adelle avoided her at school, and she hid in the library to read books until they tolerated her, and she was very talkative; Ava is a supporter and a good friend. Ava’s parents abandoned her, and Grace bullied her because of it, so Ava was forced to laugh to keep her quiet, even though it hurt her inside, until Adelle unwittingly became her “protector.”
