What are the odds of at least some of the more extreme bullying that’s happening (like the death threats to Rachel Talalay) are coming from spam/bot accounts? Humans are gonna human so I’m not saying the whole fandom is innocent, but social media is also gonna social media.

-It’s a story with heavy queer representation

-there’s a lot of controversy surrounding the circumstances of S3

-there’s a lot of controversy surrounding the plot/writing of S3

We are a divided fandom right now and that makes us vulnerable to bad actors. People who don’t want to see stories like this have commercial or fan success regularly use social media as a weapon in this way. “See what happens every time you make a story with queer representation? The fans will eat you alive! Better just avoid those stories.”

I’ve seen this behavior before, specifically in the teacher areas of social media. Someone pretending to be a teacher in the US will say something like “everyone at my school agrees that arming teachers is the only way to solve the school shooting problem.” They seem like they would be an expert, but when you dig into their profile it’s a right wing nut posing as a teacher or in some cases, a literal bot who is designed to drive engagement and sow chaos in the profession.

I want to get better at art. More specifically, I want to get better at drawing characters that aren't my own in my style as I have a really bad habit of trying to replicate the character exactly.

I redrew that one Sonic render with the guitar, so I made Charles Calvin do it lol XD

I used a 0.3 mechanical pencil (which I just bought yesterday yeee), fineliners (0.05, 0.5 and brush), colored pencils and pen.

I listened to "Live and Learn" (the music below) just to draw this... It sounds REALLY GOOD!

Finally another piece after a few weeks, mental health's been kind of shit lately.

It's another older piece I got the motivation to finish thanks to AK-Kaiju doing some lore drops on NAQ's sequel, Double Trouble. I had originally drew this due to "NAQ 1 Unused/Alternate takes (PC)" video where at the end it shows a possibly unused interaction with Quasar and his evil clone, name later revealed to be Nernex.

I get a lot of "Sonic Adventure" vibes here, especially the encounter with Sonic and Shadow.

It seems that Nebula & Quasar: Double Trouble does appear to be more Quasar focused, Ak-Kaiju had stated that Quasar's journey will be very "emotional" and have him face a lot of questions he would have to answer:

- How far would you go to save someone if you knew in the process you'd lose yourself?

- Would you choose to stay a hero if the world turned its back on you?

- Who would you have become if you woke up on the wrong side of bed?; would that be something you should be afraid of?

These questions sound very foreboding..

Sounds like Quasar's going on one hell of a journey. Maybe to save his sister?

In universe, Double Trouble didn't sell as well as Search to Save the Sun. Maybe it was probably considered "too dark" for the N&Q franchise, or was there other reasons?

Only time will tell... and I am hyped.
