Okay, so first, I want to point out that it’s gonna be hilarious if we see the “anti-sjw” crowd move in to defend him and his “artistic freedom” that “evil sjws” obviously want to limit, considering his art looks like this:

He is a dollar-store Rob Liefeld in a world where we don’t even want real Liefeld. I’m sure his complaints aren’t just attempts at dodging demands to learn how human anatomy works. And the fact he had the gall to then go and whine about how artists from indie comics Marvel is hiring supposedly don’t know what they’re doing. Take a look at this picture above and tell me this guy has any right to tell anyone they don’t know what they’re doing. 

Or the nerve of talking how current Marvel writers cannot write a story that flows from panel to panel…The guy worked on Thunderbolts with Jim Zub, so that’s who he is most likely talking about. Zub, who has a very big and varied list of works at independent publishing, from Skullkicksers and Wayward to Samurai Jack and Dungeons & Dragons. I know some of my followers don’t like Zub’s Marvel works but he appears to be one of the more experienced creators Marvel recently added. Like him or not, he is the guy that will be going places. And now Malin is apparently shittalking him in an industry where that always closes you doors. I can name only one creator who gets away with talking shit about other creators in mainstream comics and that’s Grant Morrison. I’m sure that when people will now be shutting doors for Malin it’s because they’re “evil liberals” and he is a Trump supporter, not because he broke the unwritten rule.

And he is friends with Ethan Van Sciver. Of course, he is. Van Sciver at least can draw but he is a fucking edgelord who will title his artbook “My Struggle” (Germ: Mein Kampf) written in the font used commonly by Nazi Germany or envoking similar feel and then cry he is being persecuted when people think he is a Nazi.

And I want to quote what Malin has actually said:

And I’ll admit… I have no idea what the fuck this nonsense is even supposed to mean. Maybe it’s the fact English isn’t my first language, but I understand each individual word but they don’t line up into anything making any logical sense.

Any attempt at a “joke” always relies on the audience and the “joke” teller always being on the same level, sharing the same preconceived notions and ideas.

Emiko to Damian: Here you are, talking up this team of all teams, and yet…you’re totally alone.

Teen Titans #13 - where the team current roster is being discussed. There are two subplots running here. One is focusing on Damian as he tries to recruit Emiko Queen to the team. It’s very competently done - we’re shown how Emi manages to impress Damian in action so anyone unfamiliar with Green Arrow series will understand why he would want her on the team. But when she turns the offer down, she does that in a way that I feel was some taking down a point that Damian needed - I like the book is at least acknowledging he’s been acting like a jerk, even for his standards.

The second plotline is about Kid Flash and how his experience with Deathstroke and Defiance have affected him and whenever he feels like he should come back, even when other teammates want him to. 

When Emiko drives a truck off a ship and knocks herself out, just to be rescued by Damian, the reader is asked to believe that plummeting several metres towards a surface of water after having accelerated a truck to jump off a ship would cause an impact (true) that is “just enough” to knock out a person for a short period of time (untrue). This combination of kind of, sort of realistic occurences to me always is an indicator that the author wanted a thing to happen, but didn’t want to bother too much with how to make it happen realistically.
