So... after struggling years to finish my previous ongoing sketchbooks, I FINALLY started a new one recently ;u;

I chose to treat it as a fresh slate and name it the "Training Arc Sketchbook" . The goal is to do my best to draw & practise more regularly to fill it and to try to reconnect with why I started to draw in the first place !! I'm also trying to disconnect from "the dopamine boost of sharing everything I drew instantly" so I'll probably be sparse on Social Media(s) but I WILL try to come and share bundles of pages or sth every now and then !!

what traditional pencils/mediums and sketchbook brands do u like to use? i really like the recent sketches!

I'm answering a bazillion years late BUT !!! First of all thank you for your kind words !!! Now about the pens and sketchbooks. - Pens : I tend to draw a lot with fountain pens and even more with ballpoint pens. For the recent Arknights sketches I used on my "4 colours" Bic ! I have a few of those and I love them because it's really handy to have multiple colours ready on the go to make doodling fun

- Sketchbooks : Most of my sketchbook are either Moleskin or Leuchtturm sketchbooks because I enjoy knowing they can take a beatup (and let me tell you that one survived being completely drowned for multiple hours so yknow (the drawings inside didn't but that's another matter)) BUT I also buy any sketchbook that I find nice / pretty / that seem fun ! I recently bought one when I visited a store in Sweden while traveling etc So I'd say... try different sketchbooks and find the papers you enjoy most ! I also have a sketchbook with thick paper designed for watercolours !

Hi ! Oh man haha, my paracosm is just where I bundle my oldest OCs (in a world that has been called "Symphonia" because when I first started making OCs when I was like... 12 years old I REALLY fucking loved Tales of Symphonia :,^) ) The OCs that I still draw the most from there are, of course, Lana and Rena !

For the past few months I've been reworking their story in my head (when it comes to me... mainly when I walk to and from work) and I'd say I have reworked about 80% of their "story beats"... Their relationship is very rocky and tumultuous and grows from a toxic abuser/dependant dynamic to two people who grew into respecting themselves and the other person too and (re)discover each other through that new lens.

There's also a bunch of older lil guys (Felyx, the previous main character ; Edhel, Zero, etc etc) but I haven't gotten around to reworking those (though I'd say I did develop Edhel's family and little corner of the world more than anything else haha) And of course there's also Rena's family, but that's also under the reconstruction work because, well.... I grew up and I realized a lot of the initial choices I made at 15 years old were wonky at best and shady at worst :,^)

Hopefully I'll be sharing more about all this little thing living in my head in the weeks, months and years to come as I try to reconnect with drawing and creating and having fun through art !!!
