* 𝕖𝕥 𝕥𝕦 \ ʙʀᴜᴛᴇ

Zelda gives a quick nod. “Yeah -- we have a telepathic bond. His name is Pythagoras, had him since he was in a little egg.” There’s a fond smile that quirks up on her lips for just a moment before it falls just as fast. “He says he’s got back pain, lower back to be exact.” Zelda scoots further away from the manhole letting Pythagoras slowly coming up to the surface. “He got crushed getting me to safety.” 

Zelda is desperate. She can feel the pain that  Pythagoras is in, their connection strong. She knows he’s hurting and Zelda wants to get any advice she can and if she’s even more desperate than that well -- then a vet is going to end up checking on a giant snake in the sewers. Funny how things work out she supposes. “Yeah, my snake got crushed in some of the rubble. He’s hurt.. and I need a way to get him help.” Zelda wobbles to her feet, unsteady from the hurt leg. But her leg will heal from the help she’s gotten. “No, I don’t have transportation, it’s kinda why I was asking around. There aren’t any taxis that can take me right now.” 

Zelda doesn’t move from where she’s sitting, settled close to the large piece of rubble. Her hand under so that her precious baby could feel her touch. “He said a few minutes ago that his back hurts.” A snake is pretty much all spine, so the idea he’s got a back injury is really beginning to frighten her. “It’s okay baby, he’s here to help.” She soothes again, she can feel him getting antsy. He doesn’t like strangers but at the moment neither of them have the option. Even if she wasn’t hurt, she still wouldn’t be able to lift the debris off of him. “He heard you, he won’t move.” Pythagoras will listen when she gives the silent command to back up the Captain's orders. “He’s ready when you are so please hurry.” 

Zelda eyes the woman for a moment, but it’s not like she’s got all that that many options. “Alright.” It takes the woman a moment to get to her feet and head over to the manhole cover. She pulls and pulls until it drags along the ground. “He’s down here. It’s how he travels without being seen.” There is a simple click of her tongue before a giant head rises up from the hole. “I’m not sure what’s going on.. You really think you can help?” 

Zelda’s leg is wrapped up tight, irritation written all over her face as she sits on a curb eyeing a manhole cover not too far from where she is. “Hey -- are you headed away from this area? ‘Cause I need a ride to the nearest exotic vet.” So maybe the vet couldn’t really treat a 25 foot snake that hides in the sewers under the city but she could get some advice on how to help Pythagoras. The problem was getting out of the current chaos in the inner city. “I can pay you.” Money talks she supposes. 

Zelda had managed to pull herself out of the rubble from the explosion, water dripping from every inch of her body. But that’s not what she cared about. Pythagoras had gotten her to safety despite her injuries but was being crushed himself. “It’s okay, sweetheart. I’ll get you out of here.” She could barely see him from where she laid on the ground peeking under wet rubble. Zelda could feel his distress until help arrived. “I’m fine! Please.. please help him. He’s stuck under here being crushed.” Zelda wasn’t fine, but that didn’t matter. Not when Pythagoras could die. She knew who this was, and if anyone could get her precious baby out it’s Captain America. “Please.. he’s all I have.”

“Well we do love a party. We have to show off somehow.” Zelda snorts a bit, more than happy to mock the party they are attended. It’s over the top, which is the sort of party that is best for having sticky fingers like her. “No, I was hoping more along the lines of a full on fight. I’d love to see someone get their jaw dislocated.” 

A grin lights up on Zelda’s face. “Oh, I like you.” The woman chimes, dropping the item into her clutch. “They don’t need it anyways and it’s not like they’ll even notice it’s gone. They’re too rich to give a shit.” She goes onto to explain, as she approaches the other. “How about I buy you a drink as a way of saying thanks for keeping my little secret.” 

“Well people just don’t know how to compliment you then. Good thing you found me.” Zelda knows she’s always been a bit of a flirt and how could she pass up an opportunity to flirt with a beautiful woman in front of her. “All natural? Now you have me jealous. Green is my favorite color and I have to say it looks very good on you.”

Zelda tilts her head a bit, a slow grin spreading across her face. “Aren’t you sweet? I appreciate the compliment, I couldn’t walk in here and not put on a show.” The woman slides in closer, to the stranger. “You look pretty damn good yourself.  I’m a big fan of green.” Slender fingers reaching out to twirl a lock of Lorna’s green hair around a digit. 

“So far the only good thing about this party is the open bar.” Zelda isn’t exactly sure why the invitation was extended to her, but she came purely for the drinks. And maybe to snoop around the tower a little bit, sending her snakes off to go and get a layout of the building. “I was expecting a little more... entertainment.” 

Zelda stands quietly for a moment, lips wrapped around her straw as she watches the party for a moment. “Why do you think they threw this party? I feel like there must be ulterior motives.” Maybe Zelda is a cynic or maybe everything these days aren’t what they seem, either way she’s suspicious. “What do you think?” 

Zelda figures it wasn’t like the avengers would miss any of this stuff. In fact she was pretty sure that they wouldn’t even notice. Zelda slips one of the many expensive looking decorations into her purse. Though it’s possible she could have an audience. “You didn’t see anything.” Zelda gives them a smile. “Right?” 

“Probably. I’m not sure who’s all there right now, but I bet I could get you in.” While at this time Zelda was still technically aligned with the Serpent Society, she still has her ways of getting into Avengers Tower. “You’ll want to talk to the big man on top, though I think that changes everyday.” She snorts a bit, amused by herself. “I think it’s best you look for Romanoff. She’s probably got the dirt on everything you need.” 

“Of shorts, or at least I like to think I am. They call me Princess Python. I’ve got quite the charm over any and all snakes I meet. So I think the title of royalty is fitting.” Zelda gives the other woman a smile as she explains. “Well I guess now you know where to send your trouble, I tend to love getting into all sorts of trouble.”
