today at summer theatre we were talking about this kid in my grade who is a known pervert (has touched girls without consent, asked my friend for a full body photo of her to use ai to take her clothes off, has harassed girls for nudes, constantly comes up to my friends and other girls in our grade and harasses them, etc.) and i had honestly blacked a lot of this out but i was thinking about it today and how much the school did nothing, no matter how many times we tried to report it. it was only when we had physical evidence that he got a three day suspension and no other consequences. like, he got a “warning” to stay away from my friends, but obviously he didn’t abide by this. it’s gotten to the point where straight girls are saying they’re lesbians in order to get him off their backs (he still thinks that he can change them, see my lesbian friends who he CONSTANTLY harasses), or single girls are claiming they have partners so he won’t bother (even though he has said “that doesn’t matter” about this before.) it’s gotten to a point where i’ve even offered to fake being anyone’s boyfriend if he’s harassing them bc he hates me and knows to stay back or i’ll report him again. it just pisses me off because the fact that the school didnt do anything at all is promoting rape culture and people like him who will grow up to be the creepy men who women have to fear on the daily. that’s all and i’m sorry for yapping i just needed somewhere to write this down
