"just want you all to know that i study history so my opinion on political issues are more important than yours did you know that I can justify the israel / palestine conflict by saying that hamas are evil whilst providing no evidence and ignoring the fact that israel is guiding missiles onto essentially a load of refugees in an unoccupied land yeah because as we all know war is always justified when you talk talk talk talk talk about it loads, and then ignore the fact people are dying and if your viewpoint is different then mine then i can talk talk talk talk talk talk over the sounds of civilians on either side dying i can argue that these governments perpetuate violence without realising that perhaps it's my viewpoint that perpetuates violence i can argue that palestine possesses as much punching power as israel whilst conveniently ignoring the fact that the palestinian people are having their land taken away from them by israeli settlements, or that israel's army is about a million times more well equipped than whatever the fuck palestine is doing BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY I'm gonna be right and you're gonna be wrong and it doesn't matter how many people die on either side you just don't see the big picture" oh my god I am so SO
SO SO TIRED. with all these warmongering, fearmongering, political context justifying douchebags. I don't care who you are, who's your god, nothing's ever right about war. i don't care how much history you studied at university, the second you start trying to say person A is justified in trying to kill person B it just becomes obvious to me that you've wasted a load of money on getting some fucking dumbass knowledge without getting, jeeeeeeez, i dunno, a crash course in basic human fucking rights?
