Some impressions of rickard93′s beautiful medival town in the region eketorp on the Server Zedwork Zurvival ( mc.zedwork.co.uk ) 

This meeting was hosted by EarthCow, whose name fits like a glove: His home is still work in progress, but impressing none the less.

 The council was held in the part called ‘Mines of Mul’gore’ (after the homeland of cows in World of Warcraft) His project is fascinating and you will be able to read about it in another article, shortly to be published!

Unfortunatly, I could not attend from the start, so, as always I will refer you to the zedwork.co.uk forum for a complete report on the decisions and discussions of the meeting.

I barged in the middle of the discussion about extending the protection of the nether hubs up until the y=0 floor level. After some unsuccessful attempts at voting, Zedwick created minituare representations of the concept to be stood on as a vote:

The green blocks represent the protection and their depth.

It was voted that the protection of the Main Hub will be extended to 0 while the other Hub’s protection will stay above y = 75. The implementation of this was added to Zed’s seemingly endless list of things to do, once version 1.9 is released.

After that Zedwick explained about some problems with the Zesty Minigames that require bukkit: the world file does not delet correctly after the end of a game and as of now needs to be removed manually. This does not include Minigames like Bridge Wars which are vanilla-only and ‘clean up after themselves’. He is working on resolving this issue.

Furthermore, EarthCow explained and told the story and plans about his home, which we will examine later, here on zedwork-news !

Last but not least, there was a reminder about Treiskaideka’s 2nd and LalaRichter’s 3rd anniversary on Zedwork on the 31st Jan. There will be a party with fireworks on Zurvival at 8pm GMT. There may be a twtich stream, but defenitly an after-report here. Come and get some cake while it lasts!

And at last, unfortunatly, RageSquid got the 4th strike for inattendance and is no longer member of the council, but we hope, that he will be back soon.

Meanwhile Khas_ was voted in as a new member! The Council currently consists of 15 members, 20 are the maximum. For more information on who attended, see the notes on the forum.

At the end of the meeting, EarthCow gave everyone, including non-members of the council, a named golden apple as a memento. Thank you!
