We had those at my middle school! They were called… the Pods, I think? I never actually had any classes in them, because it was only 9th grade classes that were there, and my year was the year 9th grade got moved to the high school.

We had these at my high school, and I’m Australian, so it’s not exclusively an American thing.

My Australian primary school had these. None of my American schools did

My high school had two of these and if memory serves were colloquially known as the Trailers

My elementary school used to have these! All the fourth grade classes were held in them and we called them The Modules

Called portables here in abq, nm. Every single public school has them here as far as I’m aware, even the recently remodeled ones. They update the main parts of the schools but these remain unchanged and on the outskirts.

Scotland and they were thirty years old and full of asbestos and the outer walls were peeling off in splintery strips :) They were levelled the year after I moved to high school. I’m amazed we didn’t die.

England too! My relatively middle class junior school was 30% shitty mobile classrooms. They were goddamn freezing in winter and roasting in summer, I’m amazed they were even legal.

Had those for 5th and 6th grade while they were building the actual school, and then when the school was built another school took them lmao

Had those in high school, few years after that they finally built the rest of the school but I think they still have them set up
