I definitely agree that Rupert's Marvin has 1000x more aggression that CBorle's Marvin! CBorle's Marvin is so much more openly scared and tired and vulnerable in some places with Whizzer—which I feel maybe makes the choices he makes hurt so much worse when you see him put on that cheap façade of bravado. Like in Marvin At The Psychiatrist, he's barely keeping it together, whilst also trying to look COMPLETELY in control. And so when he's being a nasty Shit towards Whizzer and Trina and everyone throughout Act 1 it's like. Marvin. We know that you know you don't need to be like this.

And because of the fact that CBorle's Marvin can be so much more tentative it makes him seem so heartless elsewhere because you can SEE it: Marvin is making those deliberate choices to be an asshole, and it culminates into Marvin Hits Trina where he demonstrates real genuine horror and shame at what he's done and what he's allowed himself to become, like the knowledge of that self awareness makes it so much worse.

Really when I make analysis or compare the Revival to the OBC I don't want it to seem like I think the Revival is worse, the characters are just SO different. MarvinB is pathetic where he's like, he's so sad, I Mean, look at that guy... and MarvinR is pathetic because he is so so stupid...
